My dad's family, 1966. My grandmother died a month or so later (41 years before my other grandmother), and this was the last photo of my grandparents and all 12 of their kids together.

Yep, my grandmother probably just died of exhaustion. My dad's on the far right. There are four of the girls and two of the boys still living, my dad among them.

My dad is ultra recognizable! I told him once he looked like Saddam and he got really upset. "Everyone in college said I looked like Burt Reynolds!"

I told this story to a friend, and when he came over, he said, "Wow, M3rrill, you really look like Burt Reynolds." And my dad gave me this look that said, "SEE?!?!?"

Well, it's not like it's a private forum. So it's essentially, I posted your photos on the internet, dad. And some people aren't cool with that (me).

i have tons of family photos on my pc. not long ago my dad went scanned the whole collection 'so you wouldn't fight over them when i die'. he's going to do the same with the thousands we found in my grandads house, so i may post some great lol fifties by the british seaside ones. and one i found which i personally think will make the greatest metal cover ever.

My dad died two years ago and my mum...well, she's 82 and suffers from moderate dementia. I'd like to think that they'd be fairly amused by the notion of my showing these photos to "my friends", which is how they'd comprehend this board.

This is my Grandma and Grandpa, I think from their wedding day. They were married on Valentine's Day, which I love.

Oh..Grandad served with the Australian Army, served as a driver in Singapore in WWII. Unfortunately got there right before the fall, and became a POW. Amazingly he survived, but I never met him, sadly as he died before I was born. Nan was the best...she died when I was 16 and I still miss her.

He wore his uniform as his wedding suit? That's kind of endearing.

I always wished I could have met my grandfather (he passed several years before I was born). In every picture of him I've seen, he looks like Teddy Roosevelt (he was a plant pathologist - studying crop rust and potato/root diseases)

It's part of a larger set of pictures taken when they drove across the US in 1920. There's a 100 page manuscript to go along with them and I'm slowly getting the whole works online. I need to rescan the photos, but there's a batch of them here

My parents wedding in 1944 (also in Ithaca). One of my aunts is maid of honor and the best man (in the Navy uniform) was actually one of my mom's ex-boyfriends - none of my dad's friends were around at the time.

that's dad aged abt 15 on the right, the family home in the background was a B&B, part of the summer income was grandad and the younger lads taking guests out deep sea fishing, this was obv a good day when it was worth a photo. each ray weighing in about 220lbs he says.
