I say classic. Here's a lil' ol' taste if you ain't heard Rudy yet:
Fast Black Silent George Good Ole Big Ones + He Can Give It + Hell of a Blow Job + Period + Black Topping + White Beans + Sack of Nookie & Others
Very NSFW, in case you don't got cans at work.

Classic or Dolemite?
― Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 23 January 2008 22:16 (eighteen years ago)
(Ans: Both)
Petey Wheatstraw!
― Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 23 January 2008 22:18 (eighteen years ago)
I like how Rudy is open to audience participation.

― Lolpez, Wednesday, 23 January 2008 22:21 (eighteen years ago)
I have This Ain't No White Christmas and it is alternately mind-numbingly repetitive and fairly hilarious. great cover.
― Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 23 January 2008 22:36 (eighteen years ago)
TANWC is good, but Good Ol' Big Ones (known by many other names, it seems) is better, I think. The Sensuous Black Man/Sensuous Black Woman, on the other hand, is truly bizarre. It's not comedy, per se, but a kind of a sex guide for black folks who perhaps might find something in their sex lives currently lacking.
― libcrypt, Wednesday, 23 January 2008 23:03 (eighteen years ago)
"perhaps"
― Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 23 January 2008 23:04 (eighteen years ago)
Rudy tends to recycle his comedy, even on the same album. (xp)

I have TSBM/TSBW on cassette, buried somewhere in storage, along with some other RRM tape gems. Now that I have a cassette -> MP3 system set up, maybe I'll dig 'em up for xfer.

'Dolemite' Comedian Rudy Ray Moore Dies at 71
Comedian Rudy Ray Moore, better known as "Dolemite", reportedly died on Sunday at the age of 71 from diabetes complications, according to media reports.
The death of Moore was first reported by EURweb and the site claims to have been informed of the news by comedienne Luenell, a friend of the Moore family.
Moore, whose actual name was Rudolph Frank Moore, is perhaps best known as "Dolemite," the uniquely articulate pimp from the 1975 film Dolemite, and its sequel, "The Human Tornado."
Rudy Ray Moore was also known as the "king of the party records" and released several comedy records during the 1960s and 1970s. His style is considered to be even more rude and explicit than contemporaries like Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor.
In 2008 Rudy Ray Moore reprised the character Petey Wheatstraw for the song "I live for the Funk" which featured Blowfly and Daniel Jordan.

So after years of hearing his (airable) records intermittently on WFMU, I saw Dolemite (1975) on AmazPrime just before seeing the Eddie Murphy film.
Are his later movies shit in a different way?
