I'm in New York, so I don't have the same sort of historical bias against redheads as I feel RHs in the UK have (since they are probably associated with Irishness or what have) -- in the US Redheads are kind of written off as ugly, maybe, but it doesn't have to do with ethnicity as much as aesthetics.
