Toe cleavage, yes or no?

This is something I never really paid attention to until noticing that phrase over and over in shoe reviews. I am now repulsed by it and am actively avoiding shoes which show it.

Is it just the name? Is it too much like "camel toe"?

gross

bell_labs, Friday, 25 January 2008 18:15 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, I always thought this just meant that the shoes didn't really fit.

And, if they don't fit, they really can't be cute, can they?

There's a song in this. But I won't be writing it, or singing it or listening to it being sung. Ever.

I read some fetish site about it when I was 15, loving (if terribly written) short stories aplenty celebrating toe cracks. My reaction: "...huh."

It's better than just having one huge toe

the tights i am wearing today have a hole in them and my middle toe keeps sticking out through it. it is very annoying.

A girl I know has only two toes on one foot after losing the rest to a riding lawnmower. I feel bad about her lifetime of limited shoe options.

I think "toe crack" is even worse. Too many unpleasant associations with "crack".

I'm into toe cleavage. Not all my shoes have it, but I don't mind if they do.

Why would a shoe being designed to be low-cut mean that your shoes didn't fit right?

They do look harder to keep on.

Abbott, Friday, 25 January 2008 19:17 (eighteen years ago)

This sounds like your toes are being mashed together in a too-small shoe.

HI DERE, Friday, 25 January 2008 19:17 (eighteen years ago)

It also isn't as insouciantly playful a phrase as "coinslot".

HI DERE, Friday, 25 January 2008 19:18 (eighteen years ago)

Sometimes they are harder to keep on, sometimes not. Depends on a lot of things: the phase of the moon, whether the wind is from the southwest, y'know.

Like not even human, just some crazy cosmic wallpaper design.
