chap, Monday, 28 January 2008 17:03 (eighteen years ago)

Da Vinci and Munch are also good.

chap, Monday, 28 January 2008 17:05 (eighteen years ago)

blueski, Monday, 28 January 2008 17:11 (eighteen years ago)

In most of these instances what has been aped is not the artist's style, but their most famous painting. This puts them squarely in line with the lowest common denominator and with the culture of celebrity.

But they are kinda fun as one-day throw-aways and cuter than the everyday logo.

The first four are kinda lazy, and Da Vinci isn't much better.

Van Gogh and Munch are nice, but it's FLWFTW.
