This is the thread where we curse razor bumps

I've worn a goatee (or, when I've gotten lazy, a full beard) ever since I've been able to. A couple days ago, I decided to shave myself clean for the first time in forever. Now I've got these mega hardcore razor bumps all over my face. They hurt and they are unsightly. I hate them. Fuck you, fucking razor bumps!

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 3 February 2008 07:52 (eighteen years ago)

My first experiments vis a vis the "old timey shaving" thread led to some srs bumpage, I am feeling your pain.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 3 February 2008 07:52 (eighteen years ago)

literally lol

J0rdan S., Sunday, 3 February 2008 07:59 (eighteen years ago)

J0rdan S., Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:01 (eighteen years ago)

u didn't use an electric shaver did you? they do brothers bad. i only have to shave every 3-4 days and a goatee is all i can hope to achieve, a mixed blessing. i can shave with water and even completely dry and not get bumps but i know that will catch up to me someday.

tremendoid, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:08 (eighteen years ago)

xp Yeah I'm just sayin I've noticed you up late when I work graveyard & shit.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:08 (eighteen years ago)

there is hardly any razor bump cursing going on in this thread, making it a bit of a disappointing read.

estela, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:10 (eighteen years ago)

FUCK A RAZOR BUMP

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:11 (eighteen years ago)

ON THE REAL FOR REAL

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:11 (eighteen years ago)

i can shave with water and even completely dry and not get bumps but i know that will catch up to me someday.

i am curious how this will catch up to you. do you just mean some day you will get them or is there something i'm missing

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:12 (eighteen years ago)

though the mills of razor bumps grind slowly, yet they grind exceedingly small.

estela, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:14 (eighteen years ago)

they have infinite patience and cunning.

estela, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:15 (eighteen years ago)

hoos i just figure i will get them, that or some weird psoriasis or facial carbuncles or something that will make me rue the day i gloated on this thread.

tremendoid, Sunday, 3 February 2008 08:19 (eighteen years ago)

Skin toughens up into elephant hide over years. After a few years of wet shaving, you could almost use a rough flint from a quarry and still achieve a smooth shave.

Bob Six, Sunday, 3 February 2008 09:22 (eighteen years ago)

Thoughts and prayers are with you Reverend.

Dom Passantino, Sunday, 3 February 2008 09:22 (eighteen years ago)

Thank you, Dom. I need all the support I can get in my trying times.

tremendoid, I did use an electric razor, which has never given me any problems when only shaving my cheeks, but seems to have raised hell around my mouth area,

The Reverend, Sunday, 3 February 2008 17:34 (eighteen years ago)

I will be buying a conventional razor asap.
