I forget what 2008 means to the mayans, I saw a website that said once. Something about contemplation. I know 2012 marks the end, when the physical realm no longer matters, and everything becomes spiritual and mental.

sometime in the 90's there was a hokey end-times special (might've been on fox) talking about the Mayan prophecy of the end coming by way of their pottery and home furnishings turning against them or some shit.

the implication being that when the cycle repeats itself, the same will happen in 2012 to our civilization. they had a depiction of what would happen, with modern appliances attacking their owners. Angry garage doors eating people, waffle iron strangling a guy with his tie, etc.

astrology makes me superstitious to the point that I find myself looking for people born on the year of the rabbit or sheep when I browse okcupid - which is probably not a good thing.

to find out what affinity group you are in add or subtract 4 years to whatever sign you are but I don't recommend being a picky dater.
