Young Ned? Ga goo.
(This said, young Ned really WAS a V fanatic when I first saw the miniseries on original broadcast, so hey.)

I got the heads up about this from io9:

I like how the alien capsule walls invented the conventional living room CD storage unit.

He should appear Beastmaster style
― Ned Raggett, Friday, 8 February 2008 04:44 (seventeen years ago)
You don't want that. You REALLY don't want that, nowadays.
On another note, dude looks like my controls professor, the one who actually listened to my station and donated to the saturday americana shows.

Ga goo.

So irrationally excited about this. I think V was my first exposure to science fiction (other than, I don't know, Land of the Lost).
I clearly remember watching this as a kid and having my mother ask me, "why do you like such WEIRD stuff?!"
― Sara R-C, Friday, 8 February 2008 05:20 (seventeen years ago)
Ga goo!!
― Aimless, Friday, 8 February 2008 05:20 (seventeen years ago)
Goo ga?
― Ned Raggett, Friday, 8 February 2008 05:42 (seventeen years ago)
That's all he wants to say to you.
― nickn, Friday, 8 February 2008 07:04 (seventeen years ago)
weirdly, the novelisation of V (by A C crispin, if i remember right) was one of my favourite things ever as a kid.
― grimly fiendish, Friday, 8 February 2008 11:23 (seventeen years ago)
I still have my copy of the V novelisation in the house.
― treefell, Friday, 8 February 2008 11:32 (seventeen years ago)
We used to get our Physics teacher talking about V and he'd lose all track of time until the bell went.

most certainly the first drama tv series that i was absolutely glued to and couldn't wait for every next episode.
a movie would probly be shit but a new series sounds intriguing.
― Ste, Friday, 8 February 2008 11:47 (seventeen years ago)
the regular series was kind of shit but the miniseries ruled

Agreed! I was obsessed with that book for a while, and since we didn't have a VCR yet it's not like I could have rewatched the tape.
― Ned Raggett, Sunday, 10 February 2008 20:26 (seventeen years ago)
If you're in that kind of mood, you can watch the ENTIRE mini-series on YouTube.
― Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Sunday, 10 February 2008 21:46 (seventeen years ago)
I taped it off of tv several years ago so I could re-watch it at any moment. Like others, I also still have the AC Crispin novel as well.
