Jimmy Stewart impressions
Inability to do accents other than a vaguely Italian one

Tom D., Tuesday, 12 February 2008 14:39 (eighteen years ago)

Jimmy Stewart impressions was in the original list.

Sorry, "Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah J-j-j-j-jimmy stward impressions was in the uh-uh-uh-uh-uhrigonal list, ah"

Dom Passantino, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 14:44 (eighteen years ago)

When I was little I liked it when he pretended to be a dinosaur.

chap, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 14:50 (eighteen years ago)

Adverts for FedEx, pizza, Playskool, KFC

also Crunchy Nut Cornflakes

blueski, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 14:54 (eighteen years ago)

Hold on, isn't it Colin Mochrie who does the dinosaur impressions?

Tom D., Tuesday, 12 February 2008 14:56 (eighteen years ago)

I hope the Descendents sue the fuck out of Drew Carey for that logo

DJ Mencap, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:12 (eighteen years ago)

Nah Ryan definitely did the dinosaur thing as well.

I actually think my ideal evening of TV would contain some 95/96 era Whose Lines, the repeats of that on Dave are probably the best stuff on the box right now.

Dom Passantino, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:19 (eighteen years ago)

The earlier ones are terrible! John Sessions - what the fuck was he all about??!!?

Tom D., Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:21 (eighteen years ago)

The earlier ones are horrific, yeah. Anything before Stiles and Mochrie were permanent chair 3 and chair 4 are dire. Proops, Lawrence, Stiles, and Mochrie is my preferred line-up.

Dom Passantino, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:22 (eighteen years ago)

Tony Slattery knob gags = DO NOT WANT.

ailsa, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:23 (eighteen years ago)

Actual best ever Whose Line is the one where Proops, Mochrie, and Stiles win, and they do the credits in the style of Tony Slattery. My guess is that pill/booze/bipolar Slattery may have pissed one or two people off backstage.

Dom Passantino, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:24 (eighteen years ago)

i love this! and i was not little when i saw it

rrrobyn, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:26 (eighteen years ago)

I kinda liked Steve Frost, where is he these days?

Tom D., Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:30 (eighteen years ago)

I caught WLIIA early on off the back of Cheers and Roseanne and thought Sessions, McShane etc. were v funny at the time, as would any normal 11 year old. Thought it had gone down the dumper by the mid 90s tho I liked Stiles, Mochrie - sometimes Proops. You might as well be eulogising Steve Frost tho frankly (xp ha)

blueski, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:34 (eighteen years ago)

Proops bringing zing culture down on Anderson was always funny.

Dom Passantino, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 15:47 (eighteen years ago)

Slattery and McShane were a coupla my favorites, but Stiles was usually the best. This show was a constantly on during my undergrad years of mid 90s Comedy Central.

I'd go for eating and drinking with the help of someone else's arms. Watching the recent repeats on Dave has, along with my continuing Simpsons love, shown me that my sense of humour hasn't changed since I was 5.

Merdeyeux, Friday, 29 February 2008 01:05 (eighteen years ago)

He needs a new sitcom. I feel old.

CaptainLorax, Friday, 29 February 2008 01:16 (eighteen years ago)

his recent stint on Two And A Half Men has been good. I voted for Hot Shots.

Alex in Baltimore, Friday, 29 February 2008 01:36 (eighteen years ago)

Dinosaur

Joe, Friday, 29 February 2008 01:52 (eighteen years ago)

Mochrie was a much funnier dinosaur than Stiles. John Wayne is what's up, although I have to give a special mention to "Stick it where the sun don't shine - SEAAAAAATLE, Washington."

The Reverend, Friday, 29 February 2008 04:53 (eighteen years ago)

clearly conan o'brien in that photo, i'm not fooled.

Frogman Henry, Friday, 29 February 2008 05:16 (eighteen years ago)

Weird thing: if you go to Moorgate tube at the moment and go Eastbound on the Hammersmith and City line, before you get on the platform they've taken off the film posters on the wall, but have only got halfway down. As such, you can see the posters for films from the early 90s like Hot Shots and some film with John Candy and Sean Young called something like A Life Of Crime.
