In terms of numbers of threads started, January 2008 was ILx's busiest month since late 2004

So, despite the doom mongers, ILx is as popular as ever, and in fact taking a little bit of an upswing recently. The question is: what is responsible for this new golden era of ILx?

i don't start any threads, and nothing i say ever engenders any debate. i'm not taking the blame for this one.

darraghmac, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:17 (seventeen years ago)

who are the doom mongers anyway?

DG, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:17 (seventeen years ago)

wait a minute, l0u15 quits and posts go up?

darraghmac, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:21 (seventeen years ago)

I thought the doom mongering was generally from people who thought the board had gotten TOO popular, or that there'd been too much turnover since the original group of people or from whoever was here a few years earlier, or the overall tone changed in some significant way. Noone's ever seemed to fear or predict that ILX's ranks would dwindle or that conversation would slow down anytime soon. Maybe I missed something, though.

the doom mongers are the same people banning calculators in schools for fear of offending muslims, the same people fuelling the demand for teenage prostitutes from eastern europe, the same people buying that michael buble album, that's who.

blueski, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 17:23 (seventeen years ago)

Looks like the doom mongers are wrong and the sound fundamentals underlying the ilx code mean we are going to see a healthy 2008 with posting continuing to rise
