LA Ilxors and others: What about South Bay?

I had the privilege of living in Harbor City for a couple of years and though it always felt foreign (being an altadena transplant, hustle and bustle is not my strong suit) I was kinda sad to move from there. Great weather, never too hot or too cold like the valleys get, well-laid out, from wilmington and lomita to torrance to (maybe?) gardena to palos verdes to manhattan beach(where does it end, Inglewood?), you're all right with me.

it never gets pigeonholed by anyone is the weird thing, there's no caricature assigned to any of these places like you get almost everywhere else in L.A. and OC

I have no real idea about South Bay. I've ended up there a few times on weekends, but no extended time by which I could formulate a real opinion.

yeah i can see most angelenos having almost no reason to come there other than some of the beach communities but there's some good stuff to be found.
palos verdes has some romantic nooks that are worth seeking out, it's really a beautiful place.

I am not surprised Steve Shasta has his opinion on the place.

It's kind of a blank spot to me. There but not there. I know Pedro more.
