John Benjamin Toshack

John Toshack has been sacked again. This is the second time he's been sacked by Real Sociedad and he's also been sacked twice by Real Madrid. Have any other managers been sacked twice by the same club? Have any other managers been sacked twice by two different clubs? I think this is the first time he's been sacked as Director of Football though. His assistants have also been sacked, both of whom are long-serving members of the Real Sociedad family. Mind you, one of them has been sacked as manager before, but they let him stay on as pretend manager or something. Does loyalty have a place in modern football? Etc.

Sorry Peter, I missed this one, I think he's quite unfortunate, I'd definitley like Omars opinion on his sacking last time as he went as he seemed to be turning things around didn't he?

I remember when Liverpool appointed Houllier I was saying we should sign Toshack, I'm not sure he'd have turned the reds fortunes round quite so well.

There must be some other continental managers who have been sacked on several occasions by the same team - Arrigo Saachi? Trappatoni?

Mmm, I was surprised because I thought he was changing things at Real Sociedad. The first sacking at Madrid was bollocks, the second one was OTM, he was buying shite players and just couldn't get a handle on what then was one chaotic Real squad. Stevo says he's misunderstood because he has a wicked sense of humour that gets past a lot of people. Wasn't Capello sacked twice at Milan? I'm not sure the first one was really a sacking.

Real Sociedad *won* their first match without Toshack, and are no longer in the relegation zone. Hmmm.
