The G-dcrack strip is awesome. I love especially the blurriness around the viewer/presumed recipient of said G-dcrack.

Faith has 'SuperGifts' (of the Spirit) now, and 'G-dCracking' is one manifestation. 'G-d' because some very fundamentalist Christians avoid writing the full name because they believe to do so is disrespectful.

I've heard of Jon Springer but haven't met him-thanks for the web address. From what I've read of his reviews I don't think he's perceived by critics as being anti-Gay.

That Baghdad photo (which seems to be gone now) was taken by a fan of the cartoon while he was stationed in Iraq as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot. I drew a cartoon a few years ago based on that photo.

A condom themed comic would be cool. I'd like to have Obama as the focus of the next comic, and have Faith discover that he's actually a sleeper agent for Al-Qaeda.

Dan, what's your view on contraception?

(as opposed to your public persona's view or your characters' view)

I believe God creates souls pre-contraception (the 'before your Mother carried you in her womb, I knew you' scripture) and the physical world we live in is His expression. As for doctrinally carrying that out, I have a traditional Catholic viewpoint, which I pretty much warp and destroy in my cartoons just because artistically I can't help myself. Politically I think I've been sort of wandering to the middle over the course of the past few years.

I'm still trying to figure out why these two sentences are in the same paragraph together.

The pre-conception thing is weird though. I guess you could have half a soul in a sperm and half in an egg? But unless the meeting of the two was predestined (and if I understand catholicism that's not how it works) then you'd only have two half souls. Either way, this can't be feasible because why would God create 100 million redundant souls for every one that successfully bcreates?

By extension, then, if the soul is abstract or external to the gametes, then the actual sperms and eggs are soul-free and therefore as disposable as they clearly are in both sexes.

Dan is currently in hospice care after battling glioblastoma brain cancer over the last year. His two brain surgeries have rendered him cognitively and physically impaired, with significant left side neglect.

Damn, he had kinda slipped off my radar. Sad to hear that it's taken this turn, but as far as I know, that's the most common outcome with brain cancers.

Marilynn McNair of Atlanta said she met Lacey outside Paisley Park in October 2016. A woman parked her car and asked Lacey what he was doing. He was holding a photo of Prince as a model for his painting. The woman blurted that she'd love to have that wonderful photo.

"It was his study picture, and he just gave it to her," McNair recalled.

"Dan, u don't know how it feels. One day u'll be famous and then u'll understand."

The facets that made up Dan's life had facets.

I’m not sure if this will ever happen, but I’m willing to take a shot b/c Dan loved theses boards & talked to me constantly about them. He promised me a lot of male nudes & time ran out for us. Dan was my best friend & if anyone is has a male nude he painted that they’d like to sell, please let me know. I’ll always be looking for one.

As for all of his pancakes, I hope they stay beloved by the world. Dan wanted more for his art legacy beyond Prince. I was happy to see you all remembering him. I miss him every day.

I somehow missed the news of his death in February, R.I.P.!
