this shti is funny to me. i rmember reading shampoo planet and shit when i was must have been like 13 or 14 and just meditating on some empty suburbs rich people bullshit that i wanted to be living, just some beautiful fingerprint whorl subdivisions and cancer and weed and money and VANCOUVER. so out of touch with real generation X emptiness and money like i might as well have been reading about the fuckin roaring 20s great gatsby.

and it's already cancelled
i have heard of none of these shows
― Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 04:01 (seventeen years ago)
The only TV I ever watch is arrested development ob CBC, and I'm bombarded 3-5 times in that half hour with ads for these shows (although you should have added Sophie to the list above). They are killing me and destroying my brain. CBC, please terminate these shows at once, and for the better of humanity, never bring them up again.
And god, does this show look bad, I hope it was actually cancelled.
― mehlt, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 04:54 (seventeen years ago)
you watch arrested development re-runs every day
― dylannn, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 05:50 (seventeen years ago)
HI I LIKE WHAT YOU LIKE

TELL ME MORE
Aw, I enjoyed this.
― Sundar, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 06:00 (seventeen years ago)
(Never watched the other three though.)
Is the book any good? In true Coupland style, the episodes I saw really sold out with the happy endings sometimes. Also, Bree was hot.
― Sundar, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 06:03 (seventeen years ago)
what channel was this on?
― gr8080, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 06:09 (seventeen years ago)
The book is OK, I feel like he just rewrote Microserfs, though.

Lookin' kinda Rick Astley these days
― Dom Passantino, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 09:53 (seventeen years ago)
you can watch every episode at http://www.cbc.ca/jpod/
― dylannn, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 17:02 (seventeen years ago)
Yes, I do. I've never watched it in its entirety, and haven't seen a large portion of it, and it also adds a nice structure to my day. Also, if your implying watching Arrested development is a bad thing, I am willing to give up the glory of taking part in this thread.
― mehlt, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 22:43 (seventeen years ago)
In all fairness though, I thought you were joking when you said it was cancelled. In even more fairness though, it does look that bad.
― mehlt, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 22:45 (seventeen years ago)
Alan Thicke is the kiss of death.
― Nicole, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 22:52 (seventeen years ago)
You can only watch online episodes if you're in Canada!
(I've heard that before but I really liked the look of this show!)
― Sundar, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 23:03 (seventeen years ago)
The jPod characters aren't all rich, are they?
― Sundar, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 23:04 (seventeen years ago)
maybe that guy that's a clown isn't
― dylannn, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 23:17 (seventeen years ago)
the sole saving grace of that show was that Alan Thicke was finally back on my television.
― The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:13 (seventeen years ago)
thank god this isn't a show featuring john podhoretz
― mookieproof, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:14 (seventeen years ago)
you know what? i hate myself for it but i kinda love this show, it is more thna the sum of its parts (mediocre acting + poor writing + questionable directing +motherufkcing amazing alan thicke = show i like?). It's just so preposterous and, uh, unapologetic about its preposterousness? that i can't stop watching.
― Will M., Thursday, 13 March 2008 14:41 (seventeen years ago)
well you'll have to, since they canceled it!
― The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Thursday, 13 March 2008 16:18 (seventeen years ago)

― Will M., Thursday, 13 March 2008 16:22 (seventeen years ago)

No torrent anywhere for the last ever episode makes me want to smash something.

I was bored, so I made a Spotify playlist of the TV show's soundtrack - http://bit.ly/bZ97aS
