IS THAT MY MAN HANNITY???

deej, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:16 (seventeen years ago)

Glenn Beck. Dude seems to have some actual joie de vivre. Of the names I recogzine, Hannity is both the most doltish and lifeless.

wanko ergo sum, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:20 (seventeen years ago)

This is a really tough decision.

dan m, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:33 (seventeen years ago)

damn how did i leave off o'rielly?

he's kind of in a league of his own though

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:36 (seventeen years ago)

Savage, easy, for being the most hypocritical by far.

libcrypt, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:36 (seventeen years ago)

i think if i had to pick one to get a beer with it would be savage

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:37 (seventeen years ago)

mark levin has the most lol voice

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:37 (seventeen years ago)

Oh man, Michael Savage can get AMAZINGLY insane, it's just remarkable. I heard a mind-blowing fifteen minute rant that started with talking about hanging out on his boat and ended with his calling for immediate air strikes on North Korea. All of this backed up by some screwy music bleeding through on nighttime AM radio. Definitely my favorite.

en i see kay, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:39 (seventeen years ago)

San FranSICKO

wanko ergo sum, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:44 (seventeen years ago)

yeah but then he talks about his fucking pet dog for 20 mins and you're like "what a lovable old kook"

xpost

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:44 (seventeen years ago)

Michael Weiner was a wannabe beat in the 70s.

libcrypt, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:46 (seventeen years ago)

then he talks about how he is bad because he ate some ice cream. he's nuts. xp

wanko ergo sum, Thursday, 13 March 2008 03:47 (seventeen years ago)

Predicting Savage in a landslide. He delivers the perfect flavor of WTF for ilxors with sadomasochist listening tendencies.

nickalicious, Thursday, 13 March 2008 05:39 (seventeen years ago)

Perfect blend of delusion and conviction.

nickalicious, Thursday, 13 March 2008 05:39 (seventeen years ago)

savage easy

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 13 March 2008 05:53 (seventeen years ago)

limbaugh is a calculating, intelligent asshole. savage is hilarious old man batshit.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 13 March 2008 05:53 (seventeen years ago)

I was in a cab in DC last month and the driver was listening to talk radio. The topic for discussion on that particular show was "Who or what do you fear the most?" The first caller said McCain.

The host also summed up his solutions to America's problems as: "Borders, Language and Culture."

He was presumably one of these guys but I don't know which one. Not Limbaugh though.

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 13 March 2008 09:40 (seventeen years ago)

i think that's Savage but really it could be half of these guys

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 10:08 (seventeen years ago)

Medved is possibly the corniest

he ends each hour with the same slowly building orchestral music over which he finds a way to finish whatever he is talking about with the phrase "...in this greatest nation, on God's green earth."

EVERY HOUR OF EVERY SHOW

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 10:12 (seventeen years ago)

savage vs. levin, easy. but that choice itself is very hard.

Mark Clemente, Thursday, 13 March 2008 13:37 (seventeen years ago)

http://images.radcity.net/5155/1266883.jpg

i want paul giamatti to play mark levin in a movie

Mark Clemente, Thursday, 13 March 2008 13:38 (seventeen years ago)

Limbaugh is entertaining. He seems like a guy who would be fun to have a friendly argument with.

Hurting 2, Thursday, 13 March 2008 13:53 (seventeen years ago)

He doesn't sound full of hate and rage the way Hannity does.

Hurting 2, Thursday, 13 March 2008 13:58 (seventeen years ago)

The host also summed up his solutions to America's problems as: "Borders, Language and Culture."

This is Savage's official slogan/motto.

libcrypt, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:15 (seventeen years ago)

blood and soil!

gff, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:21 (seventeen years ago)

Hannity IMO is the worst of them b/c he isn't as crazy ridiculous as Savage, or as suave on the mic as Limbaugh. Hannity just has this thick, smug, don't give a fuck, on-message attitude, and not even a semblance of intelligence below the surface.

Medved, Prager, Levin, and Liddy are the only others I've heard and they're pretty small time. All of these dudes have the worst taste in music.

dan m, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:21 (seventeen years ago)

i want to vote for dr. laura ;_;

gff, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:22 (seventeen years ago)

Hannity IMO is the worst of them b/c he isn't as crazy ridiculous as Savage, or as suave on the mic as Limbaugh. Hannity just has this thick, smug, don't give a fuck, on-message attitude, and not even a semblance of intelligence below the surface.

completely OTM.

are we voting for "worst of them" or "brings the most lolz and is the most enjoyable to listen to"? if it's the former, i'll vote hannity. if it's the lolz, savage vs. levin for me.

Mark Clemente, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:26 (seventeen years ago)

hannity has piggy little eyes

stevie, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:27 (seventeen years ago)

No love for Liddy here, huh?

If Assholes Could Fly This Place Would Be An Airport, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:30 (seventeen years ago)

who is the guy always dressed like a guardian angel? he seems like a total d-bag

bnw, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:34 (seventeen years ago)

Curtis Sliwa

dan m, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:34 (seventeen years ago)

haha, he's the founder of the guardian angels

Hurting 2, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:36 (seventeen years ago)

I had the displeasure of actually having to talk to Weiner, his son and his wife before a meeting regarding his son's energy drink company, Rockstar. They were not terribly pleasant people.

Michael White, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:41 (seventeen years ago)

whoa now there's a hellish connection

did his wife invent axe body spray, too? jesus

gff, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:43 (seventeen years ago)

Axe looks like it was a Uniliver creation, gff, but elephino.

Michael White, Thursday, 13 March 2008 15:57 (seventeen years ago)

dan m otm wrt hannity

i left off Rusty Humphreys somehow also. pretty sure he sings his own theme song that goes something like:

its the Rusty Humphreys Show/
On your radiooooooo

brings the lols

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 17:03 (seventeen years ago)

LET THE EAGLE SOOOOOOAAR!!

Hurting 2, Thursday, 13 March 2008 19:12 (seventeen years ago)

which I just realized is basically sung to the tune of "Every Breath You Take" by The Police. Creepy.

Hurting 2, Thursday, 13 March 2008 19:13 (seventeen years ago)

Levin is an embarrassment. Agree with some of the posts above re: Limbaugh, he can be bombastically entertaining.

Bill Magill, Thursday, 13 March 2008 19:43 (seventeen years ago)

levin also brings the lols when he talks about his dog (RIP) but in a totally different way from Savage

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 20:39 (seventeen years ago)

IF GLEN BECK DOESNT WIN THIS BITCH THERE IS NO JUSTICE

jhøshea, Thursday, 13 March 2008 20:41 (seventeen years ago)

Hugh Hewitt outdoes them in homoerotica kitsch and putting a patina of ane legalese on total batshit arguments. And he interviews like a prosecutor.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Thursday, 13 March 2008 20:46 (seventeen years ago)

*sane legalese

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Thursday, 13 March 2008 20:46 (seventeen years ago)

medved is the one who does movie reviews, right?

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 20:47 (seventeen years ago)

who DID movie reviews; or does he?

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Thursday, 13 March 2008 20:48 (seventeen years ago)

The words to Hannity's theme music, which always made me gag-

let freedom ring
let the white dove sing
let the whole world know that today is a day of reckoning
let the weak be strong
let the right be wrong
roll the stone away, let the guilty pay, it’s independence day

Which one of them is based in Milwaukee? Whoever that is used to sub for Hannity frequently, he used to always talk about the Brewers.

dan m, Thursday, 13 March 2008 20:50 (seventeen years ago)

yeah he still does them, on his show too

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:00 (seventeen years ago)

You all are such masochists.

Pleasant Plains, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:04 (seventeen years ago)

Any of you Bay Area folk remember J. Paul Emerson?

Pleasant Plains, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:04 (seventeen years ago)

I gotta go with Limbaugh cuz his looped "Michael J. Fox dance" always makes me crack up

Shakey Mo Collier, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:09 (seventeen years ago)

now that's just insensitive, Shakey Mo Collier.

gff, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:11 (seventeen years ago)

its funny cuz it makes Limbaugh look ridiculous and assholish at the same time

Shakey Mo Collier, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:12 (seventeen years ago)

unfortunately I don't know how to find an animated .gif of said clip

Shakey Mo Collier, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:13 (seventeen years ago)

Shakey Mo Collier, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:27 (seventeen years ago)

PP OTM. I've never listened to any of this crap.

Rock Hardy, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

dan m, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:35 (seventeen years ago)

Does that mean I have to go to Nazi rallies? Fcuk that! I haven't the time.

Michael White, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:38 (seventeen years ago)

you guys are missing out

conservative talk is the best shit on the radio

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:51 (seventeen years ago)

but.... I don't listen to the radio at all

Shakey Mo Collier, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:55 (seventeen years ago)

I bet you wear some tight shoes, gr8080.

Pleasant Plains, Thursday, 13 March 2008 21:55 (seventeen years ago)

If you're a liberal, I don't see the point of listening to liberal talk radio. The whole point is to get mad and shout at the radio while driving.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Thursday, 13 March 2008 22:00 (seventeen years ago)

waht does that even mean

xpost to PP

gr8080, Thursday, 13 March 2008 22:03 (seventeen years ago)

I think I was getting "Let the Eagle Soar" mixed up with the Hannity song. The Hannity song is the one where the melody slightly follows Every Breath You Take.

And Limbaugh is really fun to listen to once in a while. It's also fun to listen to the further left shows on WBAI/Pacifica, especially the ones with significant call-in time.

Hurting 2, Thursday, 13 March 2008 22:15 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 00:01 (seventeen years ago)

is dennis prager not a conservative?

chaki, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 00:01 (seventeen years ago)

it prepares me for when i have to see my in-laws. otherwise i might overreact. this way i've heard it before. i missed it but my wife's uncle declared the other day that if a scientist is a democrat, he's a bad one. her cousin didn't know i wasn't conservative and informed me at the last big potluck that he agreed with michael savage's diagnosis that all liberals were completely looney and needed to be committed and put on medication. the last email fwd i got from that crowd tried to compare hillary to pol pot, hitler, stalin, etc. the email trail was full of "right on!" and "get out and vote!"

one of these days they'll get their ears ripped off but i'm waiting for the right moment... (you've gotta burn your bridges after you've crossed to the right side.)

Michael Savage on Election Night 2006 was much lolz. Just openly ripping into whatever talking head was on cnn at the moment. You could hear the bile dripping onto the broadcast desk.

kingfish, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 01:51 (seventeen years ago)

i'm saying!

gr8080, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 02:00 (seventeen years ago)

one night i was riding in the car with the boys and savage was going off so bad that my youngest started crying. he was saying that dems were effectively going to enact a stalinist state now that they had control of congress. he was screaming. off his nuts. guy needs a drum machine and some synths. he could open for boyd rice.

msp, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 02:08 (seventeen years ago)

i should feel bad for loling at savage making a kid cry shouldn't i

gr8080, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 02:21 (seventeen years ago)

oh no. i laughed too.

msp, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 02:28 (seventeen years ago)

I gave Prager the MOT vote.

Mordy, Tuesday, 25 March 2008 06:54 (seventeen years ago)

five years pass...

Anyone who heard NYC radio in the '70s and '80s knew the sound of Bob Grant's voice. I used to yell at my mom for listening to him, and she pleaded that she "just wanted to hear what people said to him." So there was his 'genius,' I guess. I always thought he had his biggest listenership in the lilywhite burbs, but given the way NY white backlas resulted in Giulian's election, perhaps not.

By then his arch disdain for liberals, prominent black people, welfare recipients, feminists, gay people and anyone who disagreed with him was familiar to his listeners. The white supremacist David Duke had been a frequent guest on his show in the 1970s.

In 1986, Mr. Grant conducted the first live radio interview with Bernard Goetz, the white vigilante who shot and wounded four black youths on a subway train. Congratulating Mr. Goetz, who said the youths had harassed him and were getting ready to rob him, Mr. Grant lamented only that he had not “finished the job by killing them all.”

...(After the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine,) he became openly partisan, friendly to Republicans like Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and Gov. George E. Pataki and hostile to Democrats like Gov. Mario M. Cuomo (whom he called “Il Duce”) and Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (“Senator Loussenberg”). He also became less constrained in talking about race.

“You can talk all you want about ‘minorities’ rights,’ but heaven forbid you talk about white rights,” he said on WABC in 1989. “I see a very bleak future for this country, simply because the quality of the citizenry seems to be heading down.”

The country was being overrun, he said in 1991, by “millions of subhumanoids, savages, who really would feel more at home careening along the sands of the Kalahari or the dry deserts of eastern Kenya.”
