nickalicious, Friday, 14 March 2008 22:58 (seventeen years ago)

My friend John got thrown out last night for intentionally ruining Patsy Cline "Crazy". Thrown out of KARAOKE.

nickalicious, Friday, 14 March 2008 22:58 (seventeen years ago)

"Thick as a Brick" IN THE STYLE OF JETHRO TULL.

MUSICAL BREAK 40 MEASURES.

NB I love this song.

nickalicious, Friday, 14 March 2008 23:02 (seventeen years ago)

"Paranoid Android"

Mark C, Friday, 14 March 2008 23:02 (seventeen years ago)

That is a crowd pleaser! Because everybody gets to sing during the RAIN DOWN part.

nickalicious, Friday, 14 March 2008 23:03 (seventeen years ago)

Thrown out of KARAOKE.

this happened to my wife during a rendition of Sabbath's "War Pigs". Extended guitar solo break plus bellowing woman = angry old filipino dudes

Shakey Mo Collier, Friday, 14 March 2008 23:07 (seventeen years ago)

any hip-hop song you don't actually know the fucking words to

Shakey Mo Collier, Friday, 14 March 2008 23:07 (seventeen years ago)

"Killer Queen" is impossible to sing properly and makes everyone sad :(

Mark C, Friday, 14 March 2008 23:08 (seventeen years ago)

paradise by the dashboard light and the grease medley are the two worst, they go on forever and suck

n/a, Friday, 14 March 2008 23:15 (seventeen years ago)

n/a, Friday, 14 March 2008 23:16 (seventeen years ago)

tho i wld give the guitar solo its due

rrrobyn, Saturday, 15 March 2008 03:29 (seventeen years ago)

i think i've witnessed more people being kicked out of karaoke than being kicked out a bar w/o karaoke. and i don't go to karaoke nights that often. karaoke people are kinda serious, sometimes.
so i think the answer to this thread is fucking 'my heart will go on' at about 12:40 am sung by two 20-something guys and a random girl who've been drinking since 6

rrrobyn, Saturday, 15 March 2008 03:32 (seventeen years ago)

I always do "In Da Club"

wanko ergo sum, Saturday, 15 March 2008 03:37 (seventeen years ago)

Trayce, Saturday, 15 March 2008 03:49 (seventeen years ago)

"Killer Queen" is impossible to sing properly and makes everyone sad :(

crisis averted a few weeks back when i couldn't find it in the songbook (as if i know the words anyway). i listened to it the next day, hoo boy.

tremendoid, Saturday, 15 March 2008 07:54 (seventeen years ago)

i got kicked out of a karaoke once for singing runaround sue and elaborating too candidly the on the questionable nature of the titular sue.

negotiable, Saturday, 15 March 2008 08:01 (seventeen years ago)

"Killer Queen" is impossible to sing properly and makes everyone sad :(

Ditto "Bicycle Race" or any other song with lots of key changes. Talentless singer randomly trying to find what key they're in while the song is changing key AGAIN = pain.

Matt #2, Saturday, 15 March 2008 09:17 (seventeen years ago)

That's more tragic than assholish though.

Matt #2, Saturday, 15 March 2008 09:18 (seventeen years ago)

Choosing a karaoke song for a friend and shoving him up onstage to general cheering on crowd's part and embarrasment on his. Especially if the song choice is "Song for Guy" Elton John

Mark G, Monday, 17 March 2008 09:06 (seventeen years ago)

i was at karaoke with this weird dude who had just run away from a cult he had been living with for years.

it was october and he pulled out "Little Drummer Boy" and did the whole thing in a hideous falsetto, making up his own lyrics except for the rum-pa-pum-pum parts, in a totally straight face.

karaoke emcee scowled at him and informed us it was a "christian establishment."

lol Mesa, AZ.
