Because I dreamt last night that I started a thread on here called "100 uses for pure oxygen" I felt compelled to obey my thoughts.
Discuss either, if you so wish.

Last night I dreamed I had an iPhone, and I was attempting to program ringtones in it using Cubase. I don't even know if that's even possible. But what a tedious dream it was to have.

Last night I dreamed I was being chased by a dinosaur. It was better than being at work.
― Noodle Vague, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:18 (eighteen years ago)
I wonder if I should buy an iPhone. But I'm certainly not going to do it on account of a dream.
― Masonic Boom, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:19 (eighteen years ago)
The other week I dreamed I was boiling a tin of condensed milk. Ever since I have wanted to do it, and have been searching supermarkets for a tin of condensed milk that isn't made by Nestle.
― Forest Pines Mk2, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:22 (eighteen years ago)
Apparently all condensed milk brands are now owned by Nestle. True Fact. My mum no longer uses it in her chocolate crunch cake recipe (and it's a huge improvement).
― ledge, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:23 (eighteen years ago)
Last night I dreamed that Obama won the Pennsylvania primary with 60%.
note to self: HAVE BETTER DREAMS
― Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:24 (eighteen years ago)
That's not true at all! I have a tin of condensed milk made by some wacky Chinese brand called Longevity that is nothing to do with Nestle at all.
But you can't have it, it was given to me by Liz D. for good luck before my lumpendectomy.
― Masonic Boom, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:25 (eighteen years ago)
And I have been forced to purchase Nestle condensed milk for use in my cheesecake recipe. I make up for it by glouring out the window every time I go through East Croydon on the train.
― Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:25 (eighteen years ago)
East Croydon has enough problems without you glaring at it...
― Masonic Boom, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:28 (eighteen years ago)
some wacky Chinese brand called Longevity
ah well maybe she didn't investigate the chinese supermarkets...

3 cans of pure oxygen for £33: http://www.paramountzone.com/pureoxygen.htm (*)
vs inhaling pure oxygen harms the brain: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/72299.php
(*) contains the bogus statistic "Just three hundred years ago, the density of oxygen in the environment on earth was 30 percent. Today it is 19-20 percent." 300 million years maybe...
― ledge, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:30 (eighteen years ago)
Used by women and celebrities! That definitely makes me want to get the stuff.
Um.
The night before last, I had a dream within a dream that I was making out with a (notoriously shy) member of my friend's band. The rest of the dream involved telling a friend about this dream, and her laughing at the idea. So that morning I emailed her to tell her about this. And she said, wow, that was prescient because this terribly shy young man has just got a girlfriend! I thought that was very sweet.
But probably even less interesting to anyone else than dreaming about having an iPhone.
― Masonic Boom, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:36 (eighteen years ago)
I will try to hunt down condensed milk in the Chinese supermarket, then. And send nasty letters to Tesco, Sainsbury etc.
― Forest Pines Mk2, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:42 (eighteen years ago)
But then again, aren't we supposed to be boycotting Chinese goods due to their violation of Human Rights and Tibet and all that?
It's so hard to keep up with it all.

I have been reading about the differences between condensed milk and evaporated milk. It is actually more interesting than it should seem to be. (Both have more or less been supplanted by powdered milk or long-life milk - except for cooking purposes.)
((Yes, I really am this bored at work.))
― Masonic Boom, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:46 (eighteen years ago)
I read all the Wikipedia pages about it the other week.
In the end I went for the shortcut and bought a jar of dulce de leche. The whole jar went into those cookies.
― Forest Pines Mk2, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:47 (eighteen years ago)
Those cookies looked so delicious.
― Masonic Boom, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 11:48 (eighteen years ago)
I also now know more than I previously did (and moer than I presumably needed to) about the differences between condensed and evaporated milk.
never knew there were such things as baked milk and scalded milk. WoWzA.

Last night i was dreaming about Iran invading the uk, was a tad scary and weird being chased down the street by an army. Think i watched too much stuff on Iraq last night.
Also cheese on toast at midnight may have something to do with it.
― not_goodwin, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 15:21 (eighteen years ago)
i dreamt i was back operating the self service checkouts at tesco.
my girlfriend dreamt i was having a threesome with two hot blondes while she watched jealously.
all things considered, i'd rather have her dream.
― darraghmac, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 15:27 (eighteen years ago)
longevity is a stable brand in hong kong.
but apparently "black and white" condensed milk is all the rage for hong kong milk tea shops.
― ken c, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 15:51 (eighteen years ago)
lol stable
They taste delicious too, Kate - but I don't think I cooked them properly, because they're very very soft. I suspect we converted the temperature slightly wrongly - next time I'll consider putting it up 20 degrees.
