i am now in possession of what is truly the weirdest dvd box set of all time

i have been writing and re-writing my column on this set in my head all week

did they get the rights to MWFTE from criterion? how does that work

they're all anchor bay catalogue titles so i'm not sure what the deal is, license-wise

i thought that you must have bought the prisoner box set. clearly you don't have the weirdest box set after all

Anchor Bay actually had it out first as a two-disc set, which is still in print at a lower price point than the Criterion. They've also just done a single disc, which I think is the one in the Cult box.

Anchor Bay is weird about licensed stuff. They used to have a bunch of studio titles like Straw Dogs, Two-Lane Blacktop, Repo Man, Blue Collar etc. that were available for like 5 minutes.

wow, didn't know blue collar was out of print. looks like it goes for $100 now. I better unload this thing before it gets rereleased.
