beats me, it really does, but, if that track has suddenly changed into a batter's one then NZ have got two whole days to crack on with it.

I was going to start a thread entitled "Have England declared too early?". If it is turning into a good track then 550 isn't such a formidable target. Unless you have to face HOGGARD!

No-one's ever made 500+ to win a test match. They'll make 250-300. Hoggard/Caddick/Flintoff should get enough movement to take wickets and/or be accurate enough to restrict scoring.

Caddick was useless in the first innings though. C'mon jug ears, pull your finger out.

Jonnie, Friday, 15 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Caddick is always better in the second innings...that's what Benaud and the other cricket dudes always say.

Just did a quick grep through rec.sport.cricket archives and found out that Caddick's second innings carrer bowling average was over 15 runs lower than that for first innings in tests as of August 2000. Exact figures were 73 wickets at 35.10 for the first innings and 57 wickets at 19.67 for the second. Blimey.

It tackles everything from child obesity to drug abuse and binge drinking

Well I don't know about drug abuse, but, errrrrrrrr, Andrew Flintoff? Obesity? Binge drinking?
