hail is amazing

Sunny sunny Ormskirk. We did have a blizzard last week though, which was odd.

this is re-assuringly normal weather for April. i remember the heatwave a year ago.

70 degrees in NYC today. I was sweating in an outdoor cafe around 6 pm this evening.

70 odd degrees and awesomely sunny in Portland. We had our snow/hail/snow/rain/hail days last week.

Who doesn't like hail? A couple of weeks ago, when we had that huge but short storm, I was sitting in my living room on my sofa when I suddenly got hit on the toe by a hailstone the size of a peanut! It came down our chimney, then bounced out of the fireplace and halfway across the room. Amazing!

True, that. I was in London this time last year and got sunburned just walking about. none of this hailstone pish.

Bright sunshine five minutes ago, now it's coming down in stair-rods and it's very dark...

Hail is fantastic, I love to see it bounce off the window.

I would much rather have hail and rain now and a proper summer rather than a heatwave in April and then four months of rain like last year.

2006 was still pretty cold by this point and that = longest hottest summer ever.

No, it was sunny in June as well the other time I was down in London. Perhaps I should come and visit you more often and make the sun shine for you.

Best Spring Ever!

Those poor saps running the London Marathon, I thought this morning. Before heading out for over three hours cycling in rain, torrential freezing hail, and as an added bonus, acres and acres of mud.

It's pretty much passed over North London now. Big chunks of ice bouncing off my windowsill about half an hour ago. Just grumbling thunder and a bit of rain.
