"Make-Out Point" Type Places With Views In New York/Long Island Area

For some reason I'm obsessed with corny things from the 50s like milkshakes and rollerskating, and I also always wanted to have a place to chill that was like one of the "make-out point" type places from TV shows--basically just a cool place to park your car, or just sit out on the grass or something, where you can kind of overlook the whole city, or at least a nice view of something.

Does anyone know of any such places in the NYC/Long Island area?

Lol, sorry this question is kind of random...

Yeah, I mean rooftops in NYC are kind of obvious, I guess I was thinking more of Long Island places, or places that are less urban.

But any cool spots are cool with me.

we, like, don't have suburban hills and stuff here, unless you count the palisades. i guess the ice would be gone there by now.

so basically you're asking for any shoreline facing manhattan

No really Im mostly looking for vistas on long island, not facing manhattan.

I just threw nyc in there cuz who knows maybe someone knows of a spotr there they want to tell me about.

I don't know about make-out places, but maybe you could try some of these diners for milkshakes:
