I can honestly say that I've enjoyed the company of ever ILXor I've met and that everyone else mostly seem okay to me.

(At first I mistyped that as 'oaky'. Hmmm.)

No one could describe Michael White as overly oaky, he has a fine balance of fruit and tannins, and a complex, haunting finish.

i think it's never ok to be dickish to anyone here. i'm really sorry about that la lech, you didn't deserve that treatment just for posting your opinion. i've got strong emotions but what i really wanna stop doing is lashing out. it's still a work in progress. i get tired and need to recognize when i just need to take a break. i've also got strong opinions on a lot of things and they lead to overreacting. still working on how to express opinions respectfully and in good faith. i never want to be the person responsible for anyone feeling anxious or unsafe here. or unfairly attacked. i can think of numerous times it's happened just in the last year, and to all of you - clemenza and deej come to mind - i'm equally sorry. i won't do it anymore. no one deserves that.

I've definitely noticed positive changes in you, map. You and I used to bounce off each other pretty hard a year or two ago, and that doesn't happen anymore, and I know I'm not any less of an abrasive prick, so...

full disclosure: i have had a similar interaction with map to the one la lechera described. i think it's an admirable quality to be able to reflect and say, "my bad." in this respect, i probably owe several of you apologies because i have talked mountains of reactive sarcastic bullshit on here. none of it had malicious intent, but that doesn't matter.

The internet and the world has changed much, but the solid posts keep reliably coming.

I would have wanted to contribute to your kickstarter if I'd seen it at the time, but I wasn't aware of your situation until recently. I felt bad that I'd missed it. Great to hear things are looking up! But please let me send you a record or two, I don't even have (or want) a turntable or cd player anymore.
I only have 2 crates of records and a few hundred cd's left at this point, I don't think there's much you'd want honestly but I found something else that might be useful to you.

shout out to some of the metal thread regulars for tipping me off to great stuff - original bgm, jmm, imago and NYCNative (unperson and JCLC too, of course, but I believe I've shouted out my appreciation for their posts several times in the past)

and to earlnash, Western with Bacon Flavor, tobo73, Lavator Shemmelpennick and tylerw for indulging in the Dead thread and unafraid to talk about some jamband ish

My birthday was two days ago. 71 down and ?? to go. Today is the 3rd anniversary of our daughter's death We are visiting the Oregon coast for several days near where we placed her ashes. It feels good to be closer to her. I'll be walking down there in a couple of hours to sit and say, hi.
