Hey kids. So I watched the 'debate' last night and, holy moly, did I get miffed!
I mean, this wasn't about being pro-Clinton or Obama: it was about a network trying on the one hand to use tabloid idiocy to skewer one candidate and on the other, treat its audience like learning-impaired panda turds. And for 51 scintillatingly despicable minutes yet.
So, as a sassy citizen, I duly compiled a list of ABC News contacts listed below and have, for your pleasure, composed a note you might send. And, if you're bored, resend. Over and over and, preferably, over. And please! Feel free to express your own disgust in that special way that's all yours.

SUBJECT: How's your post-'debate' shame doin'?
Dear craven ABC attack droid enabler,
On the verge of depression, endless war, viral joblessness, increasingly ignored homeless vets, starving millions, healthcare-deprived millions more, a deteriorating military and basic infrastructure and the ongoing systematic shredding of the Constitution, you spend 51 minutes asking about lapel pins, who's more patriotic and slaver over the latest installment of what will clearly be a hundred year coverage of Rev, Wright.
Could get despicable.
Upside: I never have to waste money on products advertised on ABC. Also, I am relieved of ever having to suffer through an of your broadcasts. So thanks for that.
Your humble ex-viewer,

Hi,
If you missed the Democratic presidential debate on ABC Wednesday night, Editor & Publisher called it "perhaps the most embarrassing performance by the media in a major presidential debate in years."
Moderators George Stephanopolous and Charlie Gibson spent the first 50 minutes obsessed with distractions that only political insiders care about--gaffes, polling numbers, the stale Rev. Wright story, and the old-news Bosnia story. And, channelling Karl Rove, they directed a video question to Barack Obama asking if he loves the American flag or not. Seriously!
I just signed a petition to ABC and other media that says: "Debate moderators abuse the public trust every time they ask trivial questions about gaffes and 'gotchas' that only political insiders care about. Enough with the distractions--ABC and other networks must focus on issues that affect people's daily lives."
Want to sign it to? We need a bunch of signers for ABC to take this concern seriously.
