Only seen Deamons and Claws of Axos. Deamons is better.

HAving got Inferno totally wrong, I'm hesitant to make the same claims about The Daemons here (even if it is the right answer).

I could probably make a case for any of these except Colony.

I love the novelization for "The Claws of Axos".

HI DERE, Friday, 18 April 2008 14:43 (seventeen years ago)

Daemons, ugh. OMG IT'S THE MASTER AGAIN, I DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING

Autumn Almanac, Saturday, 19 April 2008 01:06 (seventeen years ago)

Which is the one that has the Master watching kids TV in amazement? I vote for that one.

James Morrison, Saturday, 19 April 2008 02:09 (seventeen years ago)

That's the Sea Devils, and he doesn't, he uses it to work out how stupid the guy that's working with him is.

aldo, Saturday, 19 April 2008 08:42 (seventeen years ago)

That's right. And why isn't it on this list/poll?

James Morrison, Sunday, 20 April 2008 23:14 (seventeen years ago)

This season was pretty balls-to-the-wall great, huh?

HI DERE, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 14:40 (seventeen years ago)

indeed. Amazing stuff

Herman G. Neuname, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 14:49 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

I think Claws of Axos is the only one of these I have seen all of... it was not so good on screen, though the book is great.

The Real Dirty Vicar, Thursday, 24 April 2008 09:55 (seventeen years ago)

bump

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Thursday, 24 April 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

Worth doing a season 3 poll?

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 25 April 2008 08:33 (seventeen years ago)

Don't stop!

The Real Dirty Vicar, Friday, 25 April 2008 09:34 (seventeen years ago)

Noone did the davison 2nd season

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 25 April 2008 12:56 (seventeen years ago)

four months pass...

Roger Delgado is kinda fun. I'm only now watching "Terror..." and he seems to better embody the Master as Moriarty/Belloq rather that Ainley's more simpering version or John Simm's complete nutter.

We'll leave Eric Roberts out of this.

kingfish, Friday, 19 September 2008 05:54 (seventeen years ago)

God, they just LOVED their chromakey process after they acquired it, didn't they

kingfish, Friday, 19 September 2008 06:09 (seventeen years ago)

Dig those fuzzy/staicky edges around everything!

James Morrison, Friday, 19 September 2008 06:11 (seventeen years ago)

Christ, the Master is in ALL these stories?! I recognize the need for a strong antagonist, but even Doyle didn't use Moriarty in every single adventure.

And Roger Delgado is a lot of fun, but still!

Also, the Brigadier's attempts to disguise himself with an "working class accent" while undercover are almost as horrible as mine would be

Office Cat is Eating the Monitor Again (kingfish), Wednesday, 1 October 2008 06:09 (seventeen years ago)

Yes, the whole season was Master stories, with (I think) the original intent being to kill him off at the end.

James Morrison, Wednesday, 1 October 2008 23:54 (seventeen years ago)

Y'know, the Brigadier really was a great foil/sidekick/offset to the Doctor, in terms of dramatically contrasting styles

two weeks pass...

Ok, this just seems excessive. You have a giant talking Residents-looking eyestalk, semi-nekkid sparkly humanoids who occasionally bust out in the Akira-style melanoma, the Master, a slimey MP-type, and a giant space lamprey.

the RHETERIC (kingfish), Tuesday, 21 October 2008 05:22 (seventeen years ago)

oh man, they didn't even finish the chromakey effects on this one. The close-up shots of the UNIT truck are set against a blank bluish stock background.

the RHETERIC (kingfish), Tuesday, 21 October 2008 05:45 (seventeen years ago)

oh come ON, both chromakey AND a close-up of an iguana as a threat? "Oh no, a GIANT REPTILE!"
