i don't own any slip on shoes -- unless you count ankle-height dress boots -- but definitely want to spend some of this summer sockless, so i might get a nice pair of canvas slip ons -- not sure what style or color or pattern, though.

if you want something a little dressier, you could always go for driving shoes, which have that same moccasin profile as boat shoes or loafers, but are a little lower to the ground and usually don't have too many embellishments -- they look much less prepster than loafers or boat shoes

I was looking at LaCostes the other day and they were nice but not like $90 nice. I mean FFS I can get cool Saccony or NB's for $30-50. Most LaCostes look douchey too

i have a pair of those varvatos converse. they are not so all purpose as one would hope but they are a nice olive green.

the worst high/low culture shoe collaboration i have seen recently are those band of outsiders topsiders. they go the varvatos route and ditch the laces and cost $300. ridiculous.
