I'm dreading it but i may have to go :( Should we trust in the practicing physicians, or leave it in God's capable hands?

Gale, Sunday, 17 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Personally I have to trust doctors. But if I was given the choice to see one or not, and I hadn't been exposed to one before, then most likely I would not want to go. I want to leave it up to fate. We're cheating natural selection this way. Read about Social Darwinism and it all makes sense. But society has molded me into believing that everyone should get a fair chance, some just need more help than others. It has also pressed upon me the idea that living as long as possible is a good thing. I guess I have no quarrels with this so far, but I dunno...seems a little too viral. I mean, humans just evolved from their ape-states and suddenly we're killing off everything else that was here first, and even ourselves.

But don't worry about going to the hospital. Sorry about my rant. Doctors are more or less trustworthy, as far as I can tell. They can't solve everything, but most of the time they can at least help alleviate the pain. Good luck.

GOd provided direction , he works through other peoples talents skills and even education . Those doctors are inspired to work by the glory of creation , if you need to ask for a prayer or a blessing before hand .

by all means go to a doctor. If you believe in God then don't you believe he created doctors and the practice of medicine so we could keep ourselves well?

One of my good friends is a doctor. He's a clever man who takes it pretty seriously, except he hates some of his patients. Most are far worse than himmm, certainly.

Best wishes, Gale. I'm glad it was caught early.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Howdy Everybody :) I returned home from the hospital yesteday from the hospital. I was fortunate to to have found out that the cancer was contained inside my right kidney, the size of a tennis ball. If it had been on the outside, I may not have survived the surgery. It might have spread to other organs, such as the lungs.! They took the kidney. A word of advice. Remember there is no pain with the cancer itself. I was in wicked pain for a year, and had inflamation in my back, which was put down to a pinched nerve on the oposite side of my back. WRONG! They found my tumer through an ultrasound, and also other scans and bloodtests as well. My advice... Don't give up looking until they find the exact problem!... Hugs, Gale

Gale _ i'm sorry I missed your earlier message about going into hospital, but I am very pleased and relieved to read that the tumour was removed. I hope you have a speedy recovery, and that this has eben as painless as possible, all things considered.
