best Ingalls?

I'm basing this mostly on the TV series "Little House on the Prairie".
I tried reading the book series as a child (8 years old?), but it was way too different from the TV series to bother.

Never saw the show, cannot vote. Besides, my memories of the books are too warm & detailed to bother.

My sister had a longtime crush on Michael Landon.

It wasn't until years later that I realized the relative silliness of the opening credits.

"They're supposed to be on a prairie...but that's a hill."

I really like when the little girl falls down during the opening credits.

It would be better if there was a well.

I know this is going to age me, but does anybody remember the episode when Albert accidentally burned down the blind school and got a whipping from Pa?

My sister and I used to play "Litte House on the Prairie," and we would fight over who got to be Mary, since she was the pretty one. We also used to make our little brother play the part of Jack the dog.
