Staying in Paris on a budget

Em and I are considering a few days in Paris in September. I've never been before and don't really know anything about it; Em's been with an art history trip and just saw galleries and stayed in a hostel.

Where's good to stay, that's cheap? I'm thinking £150-£200 for three nights is. Is that even possible? What areas should we consider?

this place is 99 Euro a night, just stayed there and it's nice. price seemed like a bargain for the Latin Quarter, to me. it's only about five blocks from the Seine / Notre Dame cathedral.

going cheaper and still staying centrally located depends on what you're willing to accommodate in a hotel. many of the bargain places I found on the internet, you don't get your own bathroom, there's just one per floor .... things like that.
