hahaha wtf.

Roz, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:02 (seventeen years ago)

Stallone has wanted to make this for decades, preferably starring himself, so...

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:21 (seventeen years ago)

so viggo's grasp on that lead role is tenuous at best

omar little, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:22 (seventeen years ago)

"Sylvester Stallone in the role he was born to play..."

HI DERE, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:23 (seventeen years ago)

In an interview Sylvester Stallone confirmed that before making the film himself he had send the script to many big directors, including Stanley Kubrick, Bob Fosse, William Friedkin and Roman Polanski.

(Bob Fosse? "All That Poe"?)

dmr, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:24 (seventeen years ago)

I hope it sent it to Kubrick and Fosse after they died.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:24 (seventeen years ago)

'It sent it.' It puts the screenplay on its skin.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:25 (seventeen years ago)

HI DERE, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:26 (seventeen years ago)

yes - Poe, Lenny Bruce, brothers across the eras

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:26 (seventeen years ago)

Harry Shearer was playing a small role in a Sly movie, and said SS pulled a book off a shelf and started reading The Raven aloud.

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:27 (seventeen years ago)

Please say that book was "Hello, Moon"...

HI DERE, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:28 (seventeen years ago)

Poe, Lenny Bruce, brothers across the eras

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:28 (seventeen years ago)

the point being that a movie made by bob fosse does not have to be cabaret with the singing and the dancing

gff, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:34 (seventeen years ago)

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 19:35 (seventeen years ago)

What good is sitting alone in your tomb?
Come hear the music play.
Life's Amontillado, old chum,
Come have a drink today.
