"World number six Andy Roddick has pulled out of next week's French Open due to a problem with his back, his brother John Roddick has confirmed at the World Team Cup in Duesseldorf."

Wawrinka and Seppi seem to be on fire - at least the quarters, what do you reckon? Bett-informed opinion and worst nicknames ever here please!

Jankovic is going to win this, isn't she.

I'm still a bit shocked that Henin has retired! She was a dominate #1 I could still root for.

why is it so hard to understand that someone who never seemed especially into the whole tennis world wants, having established herself at the top of the game, to do something else with their life?

Federer looks to have shaken off the glandular fever and is firing on all cylinders which means, at this time of year, yet more narrow clay-court defeats to Nadal (both in Monte Carlo and yesterday in Hamburg, Rafa somehow managed to win sets vs Fed from a double-break down; yesterday was also off the back of a three-hour semi win vs Djokovic. He's kinda incredible). But I'm backing Roger, as usual.

Yeah, I definitely understand her decision, and its kind of cool she's only 25 and already has this amazing career behind her. I'm just sort of selfishly upset because she was one of my favorites.
