Love Cats

Inspired by Di's thread "Love Bites" and the one about lap-dancing (with a sidebar on praying mantis pay-offs), I was wondering what species has the most painful or horrific mode of sexual intercourse.

I hear that feline coitus is very nasty -- male cat's penis is spiky and causes the female to yowl horribly in pain. I'm not sure if this is a Straight Dope explaination or some bs I heard, but supposedly the excruciating pain of the spiky penis is supposed to jolt the female's system into I dunno what, something hospitable to feline fetuses?!

Google results for "Giant cat photo".

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 19 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've seen a cat's penis, and it is pointed but it doesn't seem like it would be painful. It looks smooth and lubricated (no, I didn't touch it). The male cat will bite the female on the back of the neck, however, and this may be why she howls.

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw once. Two young parents standing outside their crying baby's room, with loving smiles on their faces, saying "It sounds just like cats fucking, doesn't it?"

nickn, Tuesday, 19 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That cat is nearly as scary as mine, but he lacks Gollum eyes.

Nicole, Tuesday, 19 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

what in the hell is up with that webpage?

Samantha, Wednesday, 20 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

two weeks pass...
Just a quick revival of this to make me smile, as I am now going home. Early knock-off Friday. I love it. It doesn't quite make up for the rest of the soul-crushing week in the office here, but perhaps it's OK when combined with a picture of a woman lying on her back, legs apart showing off her GIANT CAT.

(Do you see what I did there?)

Alan Trewartha, Friday, 5 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Alan is a comic genius!

Dan Perry, Friday, 5 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Shouldn't you be doing your taxes, young man?

Ned Raggett, Friday, 5 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Not at work! At work is where I look at websites with Photoshopped kitty pictures. (Um, despite what that sounded like, I do not look at superdeformed porn at work.)

Dan Perry, Friday, 5 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

At home, a different story entirely.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 5 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Burns and Gracie, WATCH OUT!

Dan Perry, Friday, 5 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Say goodnight, Dan.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 5 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Goodnight, Dan!

Dan Perry, Friday, 5 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Nicole, Saturday, 6 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Right, everyone buy commemorative plates and novelty teapots for Nicole's next birthday.
