Since none of my relatives' graves are anywhere near here, I am spending the day with cleaning and not getting or sending mail.

WORKING A GRAVEYARD SHIFT.

I've been awake all day, wish me luck.

Fired up the grill: hot dogs, asparagus, portobellos and pineapple. Plus a 12-pack of Sam Adams Summer Ale.

Wish I knew someone having a barbecue so I could bring beers and mooch the tasty grillage.

Memorial Day Weekend Schedule:

Tonight - Not a Damn Thing. Prolly go to bed right after the basketball game.
Tomorrow - Grill with in-laws, but without wife. Wife still in Tokyo.
Sunday - Clean house, smoke pork butt for Monday
Monday - Eat pork butt, play bluegrass, hang out in Long Beach

There will probably be some sunshine and some beers consumed.

Tonight -- sleep. Perhaps a show.
Tomorrow -- theoretically a party.
Sunday -- an interview and otherwise whatever happens does
Monday -- work -- but nobody will be here so it'll be quiet and I get next Friday off instead. Essentially a three day week.

no cookouts this weekend but a. and i just took a nice walk around the big park in north hollywood. this week i'll make up for it by making pulled chicken in the crock pot.
