Why do men hate Sarah Jessica Parker?

I think she's fairly ugly, but beating (for example) Bella Emberg to "unsexiest woman in the world" requires more than physical unattractiveness. I think it's partly what Super Cub nailed upthread, coupled with good, old fashioned thinking-she's-all-that-but-actually-being-not-all-that (note that Bella is unafflicted in either of these areas).

The first Christmas I spent with my husband's sisters was the year SJP had just released her first perfume, "Lovely." So the older sister opens her gift from the younger sister, and it's a set of Lovely perfume stuff, and they both start crying and hugging and saying how much they love each other. An hour later, the younger sister opens the gift from her older sister, which is another set of Lovely perfume stuff, the exact same one. And, instead of being like 'lol got you the same thing,' they repeated the exact same crying/hugging/praising sentimental act like the first gift exchange had never happened.

I've liked her ever since "Square Pegs" myself. That "Do I really have a face like a horse?" line in "Ed Wood" was apparently her own addition, which is pretty awes. And I think her nose is just fine.

Ask any woman and she will tell you - no, she will gush - that Sarah Jessica Parker glows. That both she and the iconic character she plays are sources of inspiration, even emulation. They love her, and when her movie arrives, they will line up, Manolo to Manolo.
