Anyone had problems with them? 85 lb package coming my way (Mankato, MN) from NY somewhere is doing this:

(in mpls, hour and a half north of Mankato, THAT'S REALLY CLOSE, almost here right? wrong.):
5/27/2008 8:43 pm In transit. Minneapolis Regional Hub, MN

(christ!):
5/28/2008 9:29 pm Depart Facility Sioux Falls, SD
2:13 pm Processed at DHL Location. Sioux Falls, SD
7:46 am Shipment arrived at incorrect facility. Sent to correct destination. Sioux Falls, SD
4:59 am Arrived at DHL facility. Sioux Falls, SD

(AGGGGGHHHH WTF NOW IT'S IN FUCKING OHIO NOW?! AND WTF IS GOING ON THERE?):
5/29/2008 6:58 am Scheduled to move Wilmington, OH
6:54 am Shipment on Hold. Wilmington, OH
4:03 am In transit. Wilmington, OH

It's a guitar amp and it was supposed to be here yesterday and I need it for a gig tomorrow (lol in Minneapolis where the package was two days ago). Wasn't planning to rely on it being here but I JUST had another amp crap out.

I'll just borrow one, ah well.

Yeah, so similar horror stories? Mine can't possibly be the worst.

Try saying "Parcel Force" to anyone living in the UK. Choice quote from one ex-client: "I wouldn't trust them to deliver an anvil."

I just set it up so I got e-mail notifications if the package actually moved from Ohio.

I immediately recieved 26 simultaneous e-mails from DHL Express.

All of them are outdated and irrelevant. Pretty cool.

should say "will get" instead of "got" 0_O

One of my best friends is a FedEx driver. He says that his guys and the UPS drivers are civil to one another, nodding to each other on the street and saying "Hey Frank. Hey Joe" to one another as they pass by each other going in and out of office buildings.

But neither the FedEx nor the UPS guys can stand the DHLers. "They're just not a respected competitor," my friend told me. "They suck."

And you know, to be quite honest, while the FedEx and UPS guys are all lean and mean and receptionists are always crushing on them, DHL drivers in their weird converted vans look usually look like they'd be better off delivering pizza.

Yeah this is totally sucking. I had no idea it was going to be shipped DHL.

RabiesAngentleman, Friday, 30 May 2008 14:36 (seventeen years ago)

What totally blows is I have to be around to sign for it and I have NO IDEA when it might actually arrive.

Compounded by the fact that I work overnights and sleep during the day...

DHL blows. We always use FedEx. Or no, it was UPS that sucked donkeychunks.

stevienixed, Friday, 30 May 2008 15:17 (seventeen years ago)

I have nothing but very bad things to say about DHL. They ripped my girlfriend off for over $300 on an international package that needed papers they assured her weren't necessary. The package never arrived. Then they refused to refund anything. They suck so much.

my condolences, rabies, these clowns are the fucking worst. they used to be a reputable courier service, but these days they are more like a franchised-oriented affiliation of a billion local carriers all individually ignoring corporate protocol
