I think it's a good idea, but no

StanM, Thursday, 29 May 2008 17:55 (seventeen years ago)

Allow me to elaborate on my thinking about Site New Answers: I have nothing to say about that as of now.

Aimless, Thursday, 29 May 2008 17:58 (seventeen years ago)

No, I've tried it a couple of times, but it just makes ILX look too cluttered. I like hopping about from board to board, anyway.

jaymc, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:04 (seventeen years ago)

yes. FUCK yes.

deeznuts, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:05 (seventeen years ago)

same here

xp to jmc

Jordan, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:05 (seventeen years ago)

Where's the didn't know it existed option?

Billy Dods, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:08 (seventeen years ago)

more to the point for you, where is "this just changed my life" option

deeznuts, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:09 (seventeen years ago)

i dependon it.

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:13 (seventeen years ago)

er, you know what i meant.

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:13 (seventeen years ago)

ididn't even know this existed until the other day. no.

akm, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:14 (seventeen years ago)

I do most of my reading while not logged in and it's not linked to anywhere I look at very often, so no. Every so often I'm reminded of it and go "oh yeah... I should look at that" and then don't.

a passing spacecadet, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:16 (seventeen years ago)

I didn't know this existed and can't really see a need for it.

Bimble, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:27 (seventeen years ago)

thanks

remy bean, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:28 (seventeen years ago)

It's the only way I browse now. I get to see six "[locked ] hey modz" threads all in a row.

Pleasant Plains, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:29 (seventeen years ago)

it's like a hardman spidey-sense

El Tomboto, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:30 (seventeen years ago)

yes for parallel clusterfucks

DG, Thursday, 29 May 2008 19:04 (seventeen years ago)

the recent preponderance of parallel clusterfucks is what got me thinking about this

Curt1s Stephens, Thursday, 29 May 2008 20:58 (seventeen years ago)

man's gotta keep fingers in all those pies

DG, Thursday, 29 May 2008 21:04 (seventeen years ago)

i have a button for it in my bookmark bar and thats how i navigate ilx!

jhøshea, Thursday, 29 May 2008 21:06 (seventeen years ago)

Occasionally.

rev, Friday, 30 May 2008 01:09 (seventeen years ago)

dissatisfied with its shortness tho

rev, Friday, 30 May 2008 01:09 (seventeen years ago)

i'd never heard of it.... "game-changer"

baaderonixx, Friday, 30 May 2008 07:23 (seventeen years ago)

always and forever

YOUR ORGANS, Friday, 30 May 2008 08:16 (seventeen years ago)

like its all i use. i don't even really fuck w/individual boards unless i'm looking for a specific thread these days.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Friday, 30 May 2008 08:22 (seventeen years ago)

yeah i have several boards toolbar-bookmarked but i don't really use anything other than site new answers these days.

tehresa, Friday, 30 May 2008 08:23 (seventeen years ago)

thirded

J0rdan S., Friday, 30 May 2008 08:23 (seventeen years ago)

the only time i really go on individual boards is if i haven't been on ilx all day. like if i first look at 4 PM ill click thru ilm, ile, 77 and AC! real quick and then sort through site new answers for anything else. after that initial thing it's site new answers all day erryday

J0rdan S., Friday, 30 May 2008 08:25 (seventeen years ago)

No, it's too complicated for my simple mind. Also, I use different boards on different times for different purposes, so often I just want to visit a specific board and not see the threads on all boards.

Tuomas, Friday, 30 May 2008 08:25 (seventeen years ago)

lol @ subconscious repeating of 'these days' in my post

tehresa, Friday, 30 May 2008 08:27 (seventeen years ago)

For example, if I just to waste a few minutes of spare time, I often check only ILM, because the discussions there are less serious and I don't necessarily feel the need to contribute to them in any way. Whereas with the more serious threads on ILE, I often have to urge to write multiple paragraph posts, which would obviously be more time-consuming.

Tuomas, Friday, 30 May 2008 08:30 (seventeen years ago)

So does "Site new answers"'s fate lie in the balance in this poll?

baaderonixx, Friday, 30 May 2008 08:32 (seventeen years ago)

site new answers more like shite new answers amirite

ken c, Friday, 30 May 2008 11:06 (seventeen years ago)

yep

Autumn Almanac, Friday, 30 May 2008 11:22 (seventeen years ago)

still think it's much better to be able to subscribe to boards (like bookmarks) and see a "subscribed new answers" view instead.

ken c, Friday, 30 May 2008 11:23 (seventeen years ago)

It has only increased my ILX addiction! I <3 Site New Answers

hyggeligt, Friday, 30 May 2008 11:59 (seventeen years ago)

I already find ILE/ILM super overwhelming trying to pick through all the threads. Definitely grateful for the sub-boards, even if people seem to often forget they exist (Hallo, ILF!).

Nhex, Friday, 30 May 2008 13:13 (seventeen years ago)

i have a button for it in my bookmark bar and thats how i navigate ilx!

These.

Kerm, Friday, 30 May 2008 13:21 (seventeen years ago)

I think it's kinda neat to skim through all the threads with a de subjectivision thread popping up in there.

Pleasant Plains, Friday, 30 May 2008 14:49 (seventeen years ago)

!! in all my days of using site new answers i dont think ive ever noticed a de subj thread

something to look forward to

deeznuts, Friday, 30 May 2008 14:50 (seventeen years ago)

nah.

jel --, Friday, 30 May 2008 17:11 (seventeen years ago)

It's like a guessing game, to guess whether it's a De Subjectivisten thread or a King Boy Pato thread.

Autumn Almanac, Friday, 30 May 2008 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

No, I've tried it a couple of times, but it just makes ILX look too cluttered. I like hopping about from board to board, anyway.

You can filter out the garbage with Greasemonkey or Greasekit and the little scriptie I have been pimping everywhere.

libcrypt, Friday, 30 May 2008 21:35 (seventeen years ago)

you can just ignore the i love music threads by not clicking on them too.

Dy, Friday, 30 May 2008 21:56 (seventeen years ago)

The problem with that is threads like this:

The BIG WHITE STIFF photo thread [Started by Hubie Brown, last updated 6 minutes ago] (I Love Hoops) 63 new answers

If you just read the title then it's WHOA GOTTA CLIK NOW but then you realize it's about stupid basketball and yr click has been for naught.

libcrypt, Friday, 30 May 2008 22:01 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah it's fun seeing how long you can go before one of the lame sports boards fakes you out... "Ah HA, ILCricket, you almost got me, you rascal."

Kerm, Friday, 30 May 2008 22:05 (seventeen years ago)

Almost all of my ILM posts are the result of fakeouts also.

Kerm, Friday, 30 May 2008 22:06 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Saturday, 31 May 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)
