If the snitches HAD been in heat the film would've rocked.

WHO WHO

sexyDancer, Friday, 30 May 2008 18:48 (seventeen years ago)

Alan Marciano: Why'd I get mixed up with that bitch?
Vincent Hanna: Cause she's got a great ass... and you got your head all the way up it! Ferocious, aren't I? When I think of asses, a woman's ass, something comes out of me.

Hilarious exchange, but was Alan Marciano (Hank Azaria) a snitch? I thought he was the boyfriend. I haven't seen the movie in years.

no dead tech post-modernistic bullshit house no credibility

and what, Friday, 30 May 2008 19:35 (seventeen years ago)

dead, tech, post-modernistic, bullshit, house

max, Friday, 30 May 2008 19:36 (seventeen years ago)

post, modernistic

and what, Friday, 30 May 2008 19:37 (seventeen years ago)

I'm angry. I'm very angry, Ralph. You know, you can ball my wife if she wants you to. You can lounge around here on her sofa, in her ex-husband's dead-tech, post-modernistic bullshit house if you want to. But you do not get to watch my fucking television set!'

and what, Friday, 30 May 2008 19:38 (seventeen years ago)

marciano was sort of a snitch, he set up charlene. i guess i could have expanded the poll to be a more general "pacino shouting at people" one, which would have allowed for ralph, dead, tech, post, bullshit.

but yeah this was maybe pacino's best line in the whole movie

i watched L.A. Takedown last week and the guy who played Hannah said "you could get killed walking down the street" which makes me think pacino ad-libbed the doggie line

turds (Hungry4Ass), Tuesday, 2 April 2013 00:54 (twelve years ago)

I'm halfway through this movie now because I only get to watch movies in pieces these days. It's good, but also it's striking how outdated the portrayals of women already seem.

Finished it. This was great. The scene where Eady waits in the car while Deniro goes in to finish off Waingro was great comedy (I'll just be a minute -- suddenly the scene is crawling with police and fire), not sure if it was intended that way. Final sequence was masterful. The action sequences did not feel dated at all and remained pretty thrilling, maybe even better than what you get in today's thrillers.

Fedora Dostoyevsky (man alive), Saturday, 12 May 2018 15:31 (seven years ago)

The Heat heist and action sequences have served as a sort of template for almost all subsequent action thrillers.

Still disappointed the most recent release has excised Diane venora’s “sift thru the detritus, read the terrain” line.
