"The gear box is REALLY short, 1st and 2nd are really short and I am into 5th at about 50 Kms/h.

The seats are not very comfortable for long trips. I will probably get an upholsterer to add some lumbar and side support to redone seats, unless I get creative and put in a nice suspension tractor seat. I am 5'9" and have the seat all the way back. I can't imagine being over 6 feet driving one of these.

Cost me $27 CAN to fill it up and I suspect I can go about 500 kms. I haven't filled it up enough to do the real mileage.

All in all I am pleased with it and would like to find a rear bumper/trailer hitch that still allows access to the engine. Any pics would be great."

With Mini-trucks becoming legal in Oklahoma in November, I need to know how to remove the restrictor plate.
The new law states it must have top speed of around 55mph, so it frees owners to remove the plates.
All the dealers around here are scared to even talk about removing it, but say it is not hard.

My truck is on order, so I don't even know what the transmission restrictor plate looks like.
I'm guessing a hacksaw will do the trick?
The truck will be a Subaru Sambar.

Any info is appreciated,
Josh

I was talking to a guy the other day that owned an Oldsmobile dealership back in the 60's. He said he was the first dealer in socal to take on the Subaru line. I cant remember exactly which model he said, but they sold them brand new for $999. And the great part of the story is they gave a FREE Subaru with every purchase of a new Toronado!

I thought that was kinda interesting.

This is a must see utility truck. Over 40 mpg and is a 4 wheel drive. Excellent for around the farm or for deliveries. Just been Sk certified and is ready to go. Do not miss out on this unique vehicle.
