Embarrassing quiz questions

I've often been embarassed knowing the answers to questions in pub/pop quizzes, but last night i was shamed by not knowing two answers. I didn't recognise the new Pet Shop Boys single until it was played for the answers (It's the bloody Pet Shop Boys I wailed too late) and exactly the same thing happened with recognising Mark E Smith's voice (in a song I hadn't heard before, but sod it, how can you not recognise THAT voice). All in all, we were appalling last night, but not embarrassed by failing to recognise pics of J-Lo and Cheryl Crow.
