s01 tracy* vs spaceman vs dennis

*kind of sidelined recently hmm

banriquit, Friday, 20 June 2008 17:15 (seventeen years ago)

PETE HORNBERGER NEEDS MORE PLAY

David R., Friday, 20 June 2008 17:16 (seventeen years ago)

www dot the obvious best choice is dot com

Will M., Friday, 20 June 2008 19:28 (seventeen years ago)

i thought so too then went with grizz.

chicago kevin, Friday, 20 June 2008 19:31 (seventeen years ago)

widening the net to tertiary characters and cameos will make these results weird, but I'm gonna keep it real and go with Jack Donaghy.

some dude, Friday, 20 June 2008 19:34 (seventeen years ago)

in a way, it's obvious i have to vote for Tracy, but in another way, omg Sophie's Choice.

horseshoe, Friday, 20 June 2008 19:34 (seventeen years ago)

dennis might be my fav sitcom character since george costanza

and what, Friday, 20 June 2008 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

I wouldn't put him way up there, but he's definitely nearing David Puddy levels.

some dude, Friday, 20 June 2008 20:06 (seventeen years ago)

yeah dp is the dd comp

costanza would be the producer guy maybe?

deeznuts, Friday, 20 June 2008 20:09 (seventeen years ago)

man what is the situation where dennis and dr. spaceman could have some scenes together? that would be the 4th heat!

johnny crunch, Friday, 20 June 2008 20:45 (seventeen years ago)

Had to go with Dennis. I'm not sure there's a single Dennis line in the whole thing that I haven't laughed uncontrollably at.

I also can't watch Dean Winters in anything else now without feeling like I'm watching Dennis, which means I'll intentionally put on Criminal Intent re-runs and laugh insanely through the whole thing because "Dennis is pretending to be a cop."

nabisco, Friday, 20 June 2008 20:49 (seventeen years ago)

(His acting range is actually limited enough that those episodes really are like "hi I'm Dennis Duffy from the Major Case Squad, DUMMY")

nabisco, Friday, 20 June 2008 20:50 (seventeen years ago)

Jack: That's a sharp tie you've got there Dennis.
Dennis: That douchebag up front made me wear it.
Jack: Does he know you're the Beeper King?
Dennis: I don't think so.

and what, Friday, 20 June 2008 20:53 (seventeen years ago)

I almost wish it were the mid-70s, just so we could count on an eventual DENNIS DUFFY: BEEPER KING spin-off.

nabisco, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:06 (seventeen years ago)

its almost impossible to pick b/w spaceman, dennis and jack

J0rdan S., Friday, 20 June 2008 21:24 (seventeen years ago)

really tough. went w/jack d.

M@tt He1ges0n, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:28 (seventeen years ago)

i think it was cuz of "oh hugging....it's so ethnic"

M@tt He1ges0n, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:29 (seventeen years ago)

god so hard

s1ocki, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:36 (seventeen years ago)

IMPOSSIBLE!

Spaceman, Tracy or Jack. Hm.

Not the real Village People, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:50 (seventeen years ago)

Had to go with J.D.

Super Cub, Friday, 20 June 2008 21:52 (seventeen years ago)

I think I laughed more at Jenna's lines this season than anyone else's.

Lamp, Saturday, 21 June 2008 00:09 (seventeen years ago)

I voted for Jack, but it hurt to vote against others. :(

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 21 June 2008 00:13 (seventeen years ago)

Surely Donny should be on this poll too, for sake of completeness and such?

Am having trouble deciding. Liz it is, then.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 21 June 2008 00:22 (seventeen years ago)

would normally probably gone for JD but i'm throwin' a vote jenna's way. she needs some love here, if only for "drinking contest? what am i, 12 and at my boyfriend's frat party?" and "ok, but i'll only do it for the attention."

oh and, "but that's how i met that mobster!"

s1ocki, Saturday, 21 June 2008 00:25 (seventeen years ago)

yeah Jenna is way underrated in the grand scheme of things, hopefully over the course of the series she'll be more appreciated.

some dude, Saturday, 21 June 2008 01:15 (seventeen years ago)

This show really isn't that funny. Its pretty decent but I'm not like, in love. Maybe I need to watch more of it but I really like Jack and he's played by my fave Baldwin!

VeronaInTheClub, Saturday, 21 June 2008 01:17 (seventeen years ago)

Cougars. Hot older ladies, pouncing on their young prey. There was a whole article about it in Vanity Fair, the one with the Crisis in Africa cover. God, it makes me so sad that more people don't know about cougars.

Lamp, Saturday, 21 June 2008 01:21 (seventeen years ago)

THIS IS HARD ;_;

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Saturday, 21 June 2008 03:56 (seventeen years ago)

Went with Liz because of the "I CAN HAVE IT ALL!" sandwich sequence.

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Saturday, 21 June 2008 03:56 (seventeen years ago)

The more I think about it the harder it becomes. Pete Hornberger does need more play, he is super super hot. This is not about that, so I cast my vote for Jack-tor.

HI LADIES

deeznuts, Saturday, 21 June 2008 19:24 (seventeen years ago)

hey guys remember that whole thing about how the show people like to search for what ppl are saying about the show on the internets??? if we all vote PETE maybe he will get more play as a result!

tehresa, Saturday, 21 June 2008 19:28 (seventeen years ago)

what?

horseshoe, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:12 (seventeen years ago)

i dunno what he means but he's probably being very grouchy

deeznuts, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:14 (seventeen years ago)

nm "super super hot" has a kelly kapoor cadence i think i got it

horseshoe, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:20 (seventeen years ago)

calling dorky lovable pete hornberger super super hot has a horseshoe-thinks-dorky-lovable-guys-are-hot candence :D

and what, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:35 (seventeen years ago)

oh i can live with that. pete is an angel from heaven.

horseshoe, Saturday, 21 June 2008 20:44 (seventeen years ago)

i saw him at target once

max, Saturday, 21 June 2008 21:48 (seventeen years ago)

im refusing to vote in this poll, sophies choice otm

max, Saturday, 21 June 2008 21:48 (seventeen years ago)

My knee-jerk reaction was to vote Spaceman, which I did. Only in hindsight did it occur to me that Dennis is the correct answer.

Pillbox, Sunday, 22 June 2008 08:32 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Saturday, 28 June 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

yeah i went dennis but im starting to feel that jack d is the answer

johnny crunch, Saturday, 28 June 2008 23:55 (seventeen years ago)

I went with Dennis.

polyphonic, Sunday, 29 June 2008 09:51 (seventeen years ago)

aw, poor pete

circles, Sunday, 29 June 2008 23:17 (seventeen years ago)

haha wow these results are almost proportionally perfect.

some dude, Monday, 30 June 2008 01:25 (seventeen years ago)

i suspect that if this poll were done again the results would skew differently for no real reason

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Monday, 30 June 2008 09:11 (seventeen years ago)

I love dennis as a pisstake of blue collar sit-com characters. There might even be milage in a dennis duffy show, but I had to go for jack donhagy, he gets so many good lines.

Ed, Monday, 30 June 2008 09:26 (seventeen years ago)

No Gerhard Hapsburg, no credibility.

Stevie T, Monday, 30 June 2008 09:38 (seventeen years ago)

no.

I was a majority voter. C'mon! He makes the show. "What am I, a farmer?"

mizzell, Tuesday, 25 November 2008 22:01 (seventeen years ago)

I missed this poll! Can we add an imaginary 4th vote for the underappreciated Jenna?

for a second i was mad at that 30 rocks muppet thing cuz i thought it was from some edgy adult comedy show and i was like, that's not funny at all, and then i realized oh, it's for kids and they're just teaching them to count.

s1ocki, Tuesday, 25 November 2008 22:30 (seventeen years ago)

it's depressing that i automatically awesome stuff like muppets is now aimed at adults

s1ocki, Tuesday, 25 November 2008 22:31 (seventeen years ago)

automaticalyl awesome? i mean automatically assume.

s1ocki, Tuesday, 25 November 2008 22:31 (seventeen years ago)

ice cr?m, Tuesday, 25 November 2008 22:37 (seventeen years ago)

I wish there was a muppet Dennis. :(

Nicolars (Nicole), Tuesday, 25 November 2008 22:38 (seventeen years ago)

I would've voted for Dr. Spaceman.

jaymc, Tuesday, 25 November 2008 22:55 (seventeen years ago)

When I see Dennis I think of Ryan "fuckin chicks' disease" O'Reily. In fact knowing that he was on 30 Rock was the reason I started watching the show in the first place.

miss precious perfect (musically), Tuesday, 25 November 2008 23:02 (seventeen years ago)

Dr Spaceman was robbed.

A+ Hornberger / Dr Bunsen comparison

Hard House SugBanton (blueski), Wednesday, 10 June 2009 15:34 (sixteen years ago)

eheh, I watch season 2 again these days.
definitely Jacky D by far. Dr Spaceman is also awesome (tut I don't really get the love for Dennis here).
TJ's "werewolf bar-mitzvah" is so classic... (but "Enormé" is not far in kind of greatness !).

AleXTC, Wednesday, 10 June 2009 15:46 (sixteen years ago)

four years pass...

man, season 2 of this show is so, so, so great. one of the all-time high points of sitcoms.

'secret' drake/30 rock connection??????? consider these select songs from thank me later:

"fireworks" = 30 ROCK EPISODE
"up all night" = 30 ROCK EPISODE
"shut it down" = PRETTY MUCH THE WHOLE CATCHPHRASE OF THE SHOW 30 ROCK
"cece's interlude" = JACK HAS A GF NAMED CE CE IN S2

more data would be appreciated, to help me complete this theory about drake/30 rock i came up with one night years ago when thank me later came out and forgot until now
