Surely the main inspiration for the Bat Out Of Hell LP cover, and "Don't fear the reaper" Blue Oyster Cult?
T'was on, Saturday night, BBC4 (found by accident), no doubt it'll repeat shortly (i.e. this week)
This time round, found spotting more modernday celebs like June Brown (Dot Cotton) as one of the grieving mothers, etc..

Ah, I really want to see this again, as I loved it when I first saw it (years ago) but can't remember too much about it.

Missed it on Saturday night, but saw a few clips from Matthew Sweet's excellent doc last night. The girl biker who hung herself had me spluttering my late night cornflakes all over myself. Look forward to checking it out if repeated this week.

Dotted around on t' interwef, there seems to be a "Laugh Track" version on DVD.
What be this?
Is this some sort of 'alternate script' as per Woody Allen's "What's Up Tiger Lily" ? Or is it just the normal movie with dubbed on laffing?
Anyone know?
― Mark G, Monday, 22 March 2010 15:24 (sixteen years ago)
I do.
Basically, it's dubbed in dialogue in "jive-ass" speak, and it's pretty much unfunny (I counted two actual jokes, can't remember either)..
Still, it has the 'normal' soundtrack on the disc as well.

Picture/sound quality is excellent, and lots of extras. One of the extras is "Roger Wonders Why" which has to be seen etc..
