In Praise of: A-Frames (not the band)

I saw the thread on Site New Answers and was very disappointed when it was just about a band.

So let's have a thread celebrating this wonderfully inefficient structure. I have a special place in my heart for them, as they're all over the Lake of the Ozarks area, where my family vacationed when I was a kid.
