the thing is, the slideshow taught me, is that this is pretty much just a platform suspended from a crane! not that i wldn't do it, but we really should be using the hover technology for added drama. and noise and wind.

the premium cost in this supposedly isnt so much in the experience but the waiters perfectly calibrated jetpacks, which automatically raise then lower their carrier to a precise pre-set height at the touch of a button

Okay when they said the seats swivelled 180 degrees, I was really really hoping that meant you could flip yourself upside-down.

FAP might be the only way I'd ever agree to DitS. Just looking at the pics makes me a little uneasy and I'm not even really afraid of heights. Something about the whole thing just ain't right.

haha i mean obviously they exist and are in many cities! but they are not really very exciting restaurants even though they are rotating :/ and why be on top of holiday inns and sheratons when they could be at the top of glorified malls or o_O entertainment complexes!

They should just give you a metal lunchbox with a couple of sandwiches and a drink in it, because, looking past the kitsch high class trappings of the chef's hats and gleaming silver service, what you're paying for is the experience of being a construction worker, several flights up, on a major city project.

Before the slideshow, you do get the impression that you'll be flying around suspended from a blimp or a zeppelin, which would be a lot classier of course. Then again, maybe you could donate that stupid money to a better cause.

There is still one on top of the marriot in manahattan. The best one, though, is on top of a mountain, the shilthorn, rather than a building and is great if only becuas eit was in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. the view is pretty good.

The food in revolving restaurants tends towards the awful.
