Poll Closing Date: before WALL•E is released outside the USA. You DO know that other countries exist on earth, right?

StanM, Saturday, 5 July 2008 21:06 (seventeen years ago)

sorry

should've counted to ten before I did that so I could keep myself from doing it in the first place

StanM, Saturday, 5 July 2008 21:06 (seventeen years ago)

I probably should've waited for the UK release, at least. Oh well.

stephen, Saturday, 5 July 2008 21:09 (seventeen years ago)

I totally went overboard in my reaction there, apologies :-(

StanM, Saturday, 5 July 2008 21:12 (seventeen years ago)

It's just that I just read the following article's last two words and then I was reminded of that Malkin woman's existence by ILX again and then this thread and I was all, you know what, fuck america. (this seems to happen a lot, lately)

Ratatouille by a rat hair and I _have_ seen WALL-E.

My vote as well.

stephen, Sunday, 6 July 2008 01:58 (seventeen years ago)

torn btwn ratatouille and toy story 2 (which i haven't seen in years)

A B C, Sunday, 6 July 2008 02:11 (seventeen years ago)

I've never seen any of these and I'm thinking of making WALL-E the first -- should I?

Guayaquil (eephus!), Sunday, 6 July 2008 02:12 (seventeen years ago)

I would start with Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc and then follow up with Incredibles, Toy Story 2 and Ratatouille. THEN see WALL-E; it's close to the best of the lot and seeing a pixar on the big screen vastly improves the experience.

For worst, I'm torn between bugs life and cars and I think it's bugs life. It's been about five years since I saw it tho'.

forksclovetofu, Sunday, 6 July 2008 02:17 (seventeen years ago)

Was just watching some Toy Story/Bugs Life clips and I was shocked at how remedial the animation/light sourcing/lip sync looks now. I remember having serious shock and awe at the time.

forksclovetofu, Sunday, 6 July 2008 02:19 (seventeen years ago)

Guayaquil, I would see WALL-E first in theaters, and work backwards.

stephen, Sunday, 6 July 2008 02:22 (seventeen years ago)

Toy Story 2 is the one for me, but the only one I don't want to win this poll is Finding Nemo.

Eric H., Sunday, 6 July 2008 02:56 (seventeen years ago)

I wouldn't have believe it til I saw it, but WALL-E wins. Truly amazing film.

Nate Carson, Sunday, 6 July 2008 09:49 (seventeen years ago)

I thought Ratatouille was seriously crap. Total Dud.

Having not seen Wally I vote for The Incredibles

hyggeligt, Monday, 7 July 2008 12:08 (seventeen years ago)

nemo, but (possibly) only because i haven't seen ratatouille (and i have seen wall-e).

CharlieNo4, Monday, 7 July 2008 12:23 (seventeen years ago)

Incredibles, but only cos I've not seen WALL-E yet. Being English and all.

Scik Mouthy, Monday, 7 July 2008 12:24 (seventeen years ago)

bumpity bump.

stephen, Monday, 7 July 2008 22:13 (seventeen years ago)

Loathe as I am to vote in this before seeing Wall E, it's Finding Nemo. Or The Incredibles.

chap, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:52 (seventeen years ago)

Interesting how varied (and intense) the responses to this are.

forksclovetofu, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:52 (seventeen years ago)

i have not seen any of these movies.

Jordan, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 21:54 (seventeen years ago)

Much as I love The Incredibles, the last two Pixar movies have made it merely the best of great Pixar, whereas Ratatoille and Wall-E are immortal.

Cars is the worst of the great Pixar, A Bug's Life is plain bad.

So between Ratatoille and Wall-E, I'd have to go with Wall-E, partly because I just saw it, but mostly because I was ready to bawl 5 minutes into Wall-E, and that feeling almost never left.

Leee, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 02:35 (seventeen years ago)

With you pretty much all the way there.

forksclovetofu, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 02:41 (seventeen years ago)

Bugs Life has the pillbugs = not bad.

Eric H., Wednesday, 9 July 2008 03:02 (seventeen years ago)

Only one of these films has Edna Mode. Though who knows, in a few years' time perhaps Wall-E will have acquired as much of my lingering affection as the Incredibles has. For now, though…

Keaney Tong, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 06:00 (seventeen years ago)

Cars is the only one I couldn't even finish. Otherwise, Finding Nemo was the main disappointment. The rest are all varying shades of great with Wall-E, Monsters Inc, Rattatouille and Incredibles being my top 4.

What about a poll for Pixar shorts?

Nate Carson, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 10:36 (seventeen years ago)

Why all the love for Ratatouille???

hyggeligt, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 11:51 (seventeen years ago)

Cars is the worst of the great Pixar, A Bug's Life is plain bad.

This, I think, is backwards.

Otherwise, Finding Nemo was the main disappointment.

And this is simply madness!!

Pancakes Hackman, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 11:56 (seventeen years ago)

Not having seen Wall-E yet, I hesitated between The Incredibles and Monsters Inc. Ended up voting for Monsters Inc. even though I've watched The Incredibles a lot more.
Ratatouille love leaves me a bit baffled even though I enjoyed it. Really want to see both Toy Story again as it's been a long time (probably have not seen them since they were out in theatres). Only one I haven't seen is A Bug's Life. Worth watching or not? Worst is Cars out of all those I've seen.

Jibe, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 12:01 (seventeen years ago)

this poll is too early, i haven't seen Wall-e yet and neither probly have a lot of other ilxors.

Finding Nemo it is then

Ste, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 13:51 (seventeen years ago)

Ratatoille is great because of the scene where Ego eats the ratatoille and wooshy-flashback to his childhood -- it was such an unexpected moment of emotional power that I got choked up, which may not amount to much but who cares, because the real reason is Janeane Garofalo as chic French chick.

Monsters Inc. I loved loved (it was the first Pixar that made me want to cry with love) but I watched it again ~6 months ago, and it was only very good.

Cars has its nice moments but basically paints Lassetter as a fuddy duddy.

Leee, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 22:15 (seventeen years ago)

NEMO

I haven't seen Wall-E, but I vote for the Incredibles. That was a great film and it should have been nominated for Best Picture.

Super Cub, Wednesday, 9 July 2008 22:43 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Friday, 11 July 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Saturday, 12 July 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

I would like to see Wall-E.

Alba, Saturday, 12 July 2008 23:04 (seventeen years ago)

one month passes...

I've only seen the top 5 finishers, and like WALL-E the best. But I don't really love any of em.

Dr Morbius, Saturday, 16 August 2008 19:45 (seventeen years ago)

You haven't seen Toy Story? : - o

Just got offed, Saturday, 16 August 2008 19:47 (seventeen years ago)

I liked Finding Nemo but don't love anyone of them. They're well-written and visually incredibly creative, but there's something kinda soulless about them all.

caek, Saturday, 16 August 2008 20:12 (seventeen years ago)

but there's something kinda soulless about them all

I feel precisely the total opposite way.

Mordy, Saturday, 16 August 2008 20:14 (seventeen years ago)

This poll's results are very very wrong.

Upt0eleven, Saturday, 16 August 2008 20:18 (seventeen years ago)

Monsters, Inc. 7

What the fucking fuck?????
SHIT film. Their very worst. Even worse than Bug's Life.

DavidM, Saturday, 16 August 2008 22:59 (seventeen years ago)

Has Wall-E been released yet? Has anyone even seen it?

DavidM, Saturday, 16 August 2008 23:00 (seventeen years ago)

WALL E was super, great etc but Toy Story (+2) owns this shit, come on.

Just got offed, Saturday, 16 August 2008 23:12 (seventeen years ago)

ratatouille is 5th, not 2nd, best Pixar film. Which is still a good position to be in but ilxors have disappointed me.

Upt0eleven, Saturday, 16 August 2008 23:17 (seventeen years ago)

three months pass...

i'm surprised monsters inc got so many votes. it's kind of the forgotten pixar movie to me.

akm, Sunday, 14 December 2008 21:19 (seventeen years ago)

what is with people who thought finding nemo was disappointing or even bad? I rewatched this yesterday for like the fourth time and it's almost perfect.
