I want the Super Large Doner and Chips. and I want the Doner in a naan. What is this, the middle ages?

Noodle Vague, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:06 (seventeen years ago)

I mean I know I'm not gonna eat it all right now but there'll be some left for sandwiches in the morning, right?

Noodle Vague, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:07 (seventeen years ago)

Does Jeff not sell shish kebabs?

chap, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:07 (seventeen years ago)

Fuck a shish.

Akshully doner and cheese looks intriguing.

Noodle Vague, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:08 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, f'real, who orders shish from a kebab shop?

Lacking a steak kebab option, though.

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:09 (seventeen years ago)

Doner meat is disgusting in 90% of kebab shops.

chap, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:12 (seventeen years ago)

Large doner in pitta, loads of coleslaw, with BBQ, chilli and garlic sauce.

nate woolls, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:14 (seventeen years ago)

IMPORTANT QUESTION - the chicken kebab - tikka or normal?

Matt DC, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:14 (seventeen years ago)

More like swish kebab, amirite?

Noodle Vague, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:14 (seventeen years ago)

Small pieces of tender chicken breast marinated in Jeff’s special spicy seasoning recipe, then griddled freshly to order. This is then served in a pitta bread or bun as preferred with the above salad. Please allow 6 minutes cooking time when ordering this item.

xp

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:15 (seventeen years ago)

In that case, I'm going for large chicken kebab which is ON DIS TING NO HYPE LOL.

It had never even occurred to me to put cheese on a kebab. What sort of cheese do you get? If this isn't bright yellow slices of Kraft that melt before even making contact with the kebab I'll be sorely disappointed.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:16 (seventeen years ago)

I'm guessing it's that grated orange shit that tastes suspiciously like the plastic bag it comes out of.

Noodle Vague, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:17 (seventeen years ago)

I'm assuming it'd be chips 'n' cheese style cheddar? Never got chips 'n' cheese, can a Northerner please explain the point of it?

xp

Basically, yeah

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:17 (seventeen years ago)

Chips and cheese is food of the gods. Doubly so if accompanied by gravy.

Yours, someone who has never lived at any point north of the Thames.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:18 (seventeen years ago)

Fancied chips and cheese for ages, assumed it'd be chips with a load of gooey melted cheese all over it. One time I had it at Hull Fair the woman literally scooped a handful of this shit out of the bag and dropped it over the chips as she handed them over. I was crying, I can tell you.

Have had good melted cheese on chips in pubs tho.

Noodle Vague, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:19 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, seems to me that the good times with C&C don't outweigh the bad ones :(

DJ Mencap, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:21 (seventeen years ago)

I voted donor meat and chips but I want chicken kebab meat not some lickle lambikins. thanx.

Although I do like a Dr Pepper w/my kebab, it has to be said

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:24 (seventeen years ago)

Where's falafel from the list? I thought all kebab houses sold falafel.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:25 (seventeen years ago)

JUNIOR SPESH JUNIOR SPESH

no shish no cred. just chips then.

blueski, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:25 (seventeen years ago)

A Little Bit About Us!!...

We have been trading in Milton Keynes since 1983, and trading from Downs Barn since 1986.

Jeff, who is originally from North Cyprus, came to this country in 1960 at the age of 15. He has always worked in the catering business and has been catering manager at several railway stations and motorway service areas prior to deciding to start his own business.

Despite the gradual increase in the amount of catering vans that are now in Milton Keynes, Jeff has never been afraid of competition. In fact, he regards it as a necessity in helping customers to appreciate the quality of the product that he serves. The van has a huge clientele, who come by car and on foot. There are even several customers who, on moving to villages outside of Milton Keynes, have regularly sent taxis to pick up their order.

How's that for 'customer satisfaction'?

Matt DC, Tuesday, 8 July 2008 11:26 (seventeen years ago)

I never eat doners in public, couldn't stand the shame of public face smearing.

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 10 August 2008 20:20 (seventeen years ago)

Had a kebab in Germany at the insistence of a German friend who'd studied over here and insisted - without knowing the kebab shop or indeed the city we were in - that it would be much better than in the UK, and it really was. Plus the idea of eating something from a tiny kebab stall in the corner of a train station and not getting food poisoning (place was gleamingly well-scrubbed despite being open to the air with chain-smoking Germans all around) was quite novel.

So I'm inclined to think Jack Battery-Pack OTM.
