About 9.30pm tonight if the place in question sells two cocktails for three pounds sixty. One of them had 'cola cube vodka' whatever the christing fuck that is and the other one was a Black Russian and tasted of socks buuuuuut here I am!

Surmounter knows he will get a 9am endorsement from me. Except it's less a cocktail and more a bottle of lighter fluid with an umbrella.

ideally 8 pm so's to last the night but EARLY TIMES been calling lately with the summer sun and difficult days so i'll also vote for 6 pm

yeah okay, i'll see you int he bar at 3. good chance i'll be pretty baked by then though.

Oops, broke my own rule tonight. Crown & Water at friend's new job at least an hour before actual sunset. But I quit early.

because of nighttime dehydration you should start drinking no sooner than two hours after waking up

ie no drinks before 5 pm you drunks

before noon: mimosas, similar
noon-sundown: beer
after sundown: booze
all-day: fine, drink your damn wine

i shoot for 6-7pm on weekdays, earlier on weekends is ok
i went thru a period of lots of lunchtime boozin' - fun for a while but felt like i was starting down the road to alcoholism so i stopped

well the problem is like, if you have a drink at 5, that's it, you're well on your way. might as well have another, and another. come 8pm you're calling all your friends to tell them how much you love them and eating too many peanuts.

I don't understand why there are even rules (well, "rules") about this -- there's always going to be an appropriate cocktail of some sort, for the occasion.

I usually start around 8 but only because that's when I get home from work.
