RFID: Spanish-Language Movie, probably mid-to-late 80s

Caught the beginning of this in the gym but didn't see what it was:

Opens by railroad tracks, daylight, a group of boys waiting for the train to pass, one putting his ear to the tracks, and when the train approaches two of the boys run to see which can successfully grab a bottle off the tracks without getting hit. It was nicely shot, and I was wondering what it was. I think it was on Univision. The names I saw in the little bit of the credits sounded like Mexican names.
