Abbott, Monday, 14 July 2008 18:43 (seventeen years ago)

Having a couch in my living room. It rules!

Abbott, Monday, 14 July 2008 18:44 (seventeen years ago)

I don't know how I went 10 years of washing laundry without making connection of "an extant product called fabric softener" and "a way to make my washed fabrics feel softer."

Abbott, Monday, 14 July 2008 18:45 (seventeen years ago)

Surmounter, Monday, 14 July 2008 18:45 (seventeen years ago)

Hurting 2, Monday, 14 July 2008 19:02 (seventeen years ago)

When I was a kid there was a place in DC called Eddie's New Jersey-Style Pizza. My dad would make fun of the name every time we went there.

Intuition leg-shaving razor (admittedly this is kind of a new thing but omg I haven't accidentally sliced my calf in two using it, unlike nor-mal razoring).

Abbott, Monday, 14 July 2008 19:12 (seventeen years ago)

I just discovered horseradish, too. And garlic!

Abbott, Monday, 14 July 2008 19:13 (seventeen years ago)

So I can assume that right about now every single person on ILX must be hungry?

Not me, I just ate lunch.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 14 July 2008 19:42 (seventeen years ago)

Potato waffles (cooked in a toaster, incidentally), topped with tinned spaghetti and melted cheddar cheese <<< that's what I had for lunch.

snoball, Monday, 14 July 2008 19:44 (seventeen years ago)

snoball, Monday, 14 July 2008 19:48 (seventeen years ago)

I would like to add MAPS to this list. The map says the street will be two roads down on the right, you walk down and LO' it IS. Awesome.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 16 July 2008 19:31 (seventeen years ago)

sunny successor, Wednesday, 16 July 2008 20:52 (seventeen years ago)

Cabbage! And courgettes and lots of other vegetables I thought I didn't like. Who'd have thought? But I guess the REAL answer to this thread is ways of steaming vegetables, which helpfully makes cabbage not taste of boiled cabbage, etc. All these years and nobody told me!

a passing spacecadet, Thursday, 17 July 2008 12:07 (seventeen years ago)

I just discovered lemons are awesome, just squeeze one into a nearly full glass of water and it's great even without sugar.

Gay Wrong-Row, Thursday, 17 July 2008 13:22 (seventeen years ago)

I didn't just discover them, but I wonder how I lived without quesadillas.
