i don't know much about the high strung, we're on the bill because the other band is the new one from the dude from the l1ke y0ung, and he likes us for some reason

they're kind of indie pop rock, weezer-ish without the fuzz and cleaner sounds. a girl i used to date really liked them, what i'd heard wasn't bad.

then: two hours of driving through brooklyn to the airport (East New York is....nice!), a pizza somewhere near the ocean, and then kite-flying and hypo-dodging at the rockaways in the beautiful weather

btw i would like to point out that the fake fictions have been otm on this tour, particularly at the dc show, which was generally killer all around.

to reiterate

killer: FFs, dc ilxors (thanks for beer/cigs!), staying at a balkan diplomat's house, math panda, cool tough cat walking down the street like a baller of killing little animals
not killer: the fish sandwiches purchased around the corner from the red and the black, $6 beers, hangovers

dc was easily the best show that we played, so dope to see mr. que and tombot

i mentioned this on the chicago thread but the reason we didn't make it to the big party was that we left after the brooklyn show at 1:30 a.m. and ended up driving the 13 hours straight back to chicago, which was not our original intention
