Buying a new suit

I hate buying suits but (reluctantly) am in the market for one.

Looks like I will be doing some shopping in NYC this weekend. Any of you locals have a recommendation? I wanna spend $500 to $800 and prefer something fairly trendy as opposed to staid Brooks Brothers stuff.

Anyone who recommends century 21 really hates you. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Try john varamos they seem to be really nicely cut. I think they have a store in the meatpacking district.
