The Big Shot I would ride no problem (it's just on top of a building, but otherwise no different than all the rest of those rides.)

Insanity, the Ride looks scary as hell, but at least the thing is moving most of the time when you are forced to look down. If I was with someone else who would ride it so I could commisserate afterwards then I would do it.

X-Scream on the other hand looks absolutely utterly terrifying (worse by a million degrees than Insanity, the Ride.) All those stops and jerks. I would totally ride it (ps was Dan serious about these breaking down and being stuck up there for 45 minutes haha?)

I meant those specific rides, although I'd forgotten it was an HOUR AND A HALF and not 45 min.

I think (and I speak for most people here) that getting stranded for 80 minutes 1000 feet in the air is significantly worse than the "kind of stuff that happens all the time on theme park rides".

most of these are really great examples of taking rides (incl roller coasters) & improving upon them w/ the height - like i said id do any of them except the insanity one because frankly ppl who think its awesome to be spun around in circles until they feel sick baffle me

I think barf dissipates at that height.

if theyre getting 50+mph winds up there id say no one within a 20 mile radius of LV is safe to say theyre not inhaling barf droplets at any given moment

I have been on these rides! Apart from the one that broke down, I didn't go on that one. We were there the week before that happened.

if that see-saw one works like those drop-tower rides then the brakes are like totally 100% fail-safe non-mechanical non-electrical magnet based. so, y'know yer not gonna fall off. so what if you might get stuck up there for 45 mins, that's like value for money, right?
